The Day of Reckoning.... NFL cuts tracker

Now that would be funny, Thomas signing with us a week before the Pats game. With only five WR's on the roster...hmmm.

jk - we know that would never happen. He did go off big time last week, scoring two TD's, still has some game left. I'm sure some WR needy team will snatch him up in a jiffy. I'd settle for getting Holton back.

Man, a lot of us had the Steelers picking this guy in the mid rounds of the draft.....his name kept coming up over and over...

Bills waived WR David Sills.

Sills was a very productive player with Will Grier at West Virginia, and he showed decent athleticism (37.5-inch vertical) at the Combine, so he's a player that should land on a practice squad after clearing waivers. Sills’ absolute ceiling is a No. 2/3 possession receiver who makes his biggest impact on third downs and in the red zone.

Wouldn't shock me to see the cheats pick up Eli.

And Hodges.

Cheats cut Hoyer in favor of a 4th round pick. Doubt they'd cut their 53rd for the Steelers offensive camp darling

Demaryius Thomas is also expected to resign with the Cheats, per TMZSPN
makes no sense why they'd cut him if that were the case.

Here's a name for you... CB Darqueze Dennard (Reserve/Physically Unable). I guess he will go on IR?

Have we picked up a TE yet?

Why not?

Chop chop

Meh I am guessing the Jets put in a waiver claim for him... if he is waiver eligible that is... I cannot ever remember who is or isn’t these days..

Eli is exactly what the Jets were looking for at wr/returner... I was hoping he would be dealt there

Vested vets aren’t subject to waivers so you can loophole cut them.. make other moves, then resign them... we have done it before with Batch I think... and maybe DHB? idr...

And Hodges.

If the Steelers deal Dobbs they will try to sign him to the PS... if not he will end up on a PS somewhere, but we can always sign him off of a PS if we needed him....

With all the quality backups cut and guys with draft pedigree... it’s unlikely he ends up on a 53 man roster...

Well unless Denver gets desperate... lol they have 1 healthy QB on the roster snd thats joe flacco

Hmmmm.....one man's trash is another man's treasure? /cliché alert

Cardinals waived TE Ricky Seals-Jones.

RSJ was recruited by coach Kliff Kingsbury in college, but that wasn't enough to win RSJ a spot on Kingsbury's first NFL roster. The Cardinals are rolling with just Charles Clay and Maxx Williams at tight end in an offense that figures to run plenty of four-WR sets. Seals-Jones is long on intrigue but has yet to do much at the pro level.

Ricky Seals-Jones had a better 2018 than many thought
https://cardswire.usatoday.com/2019/07/06/az-arizona-cardinals-ricky-seals-jones-stats/

Many had high expectations for Arizona Cardinals tight end Ricky Seals-Jones. He flashed at the end of his rookie season and many felt he would have a big second season.

No one on the Cardinals had a big season offensively.

However, while his 34 receptions for 343 yards might have been disappointing to many, it wasn’t that bad.

In fact, he had more receptions in 2018 than any tight end in the division not named George Kittle. Kittle, of course, had 88 catches for 1,377 yards.

Seals-Jones had more catches and receiving yards playing for the league’s worst offense than any other tight end in the league other than Kittle, including Los Angeles Rams tight end Gerald Everett, who had one of the league’s best.

He even had more catches than Charles Clay, whom the Cardinals signed this offseason to start at tight end.

Arizona Cardinals Ricky Seals-Jones could be x-factor
https://raisingzona.com/2019/08/14/arizona-cardinals-ricky-seals-jones-x-factor/

Ricky Seal-Jones is going into his third year with the cardinals and originally was seen as an unfinished project. Now with some experience in the league, Seals-Jones looks like he is ready to make a big leap this year.

Seal-Jones obtains a set of skills many tight ends do not have and get space with his quickness and athletic abilities. Were he does lack in blocking, Seals-Jones can be a nice option in many other roles this year.

We could do worse for some TE depth.

RSJ and Legget are options, but they seem to fit the Grimble mold more than the 3rd TE which is usually more of a blocking TE. I'd take either though, RSJ having more play experience

Yes but they can use a tackle in two te formations i guess... beggers cant be choosers and either would be blocking upgrades on gentry...

He has 5x the yards that grimble had last season. Get that guy, cut grimble and groom the rook

If they bring in a guy like RSJ or Wilson or Leggett, they'll definitely move Gentry to the PS.

I don't think there'll be any worries about him getting claimed.
