I think it's a lot simpler and less deep than that, I think it's just that there's a concerted effort to use everything they can to damage Trump. Not that he doesn't give them plenty of assistance.

What are the implications of a Communist enemy releasing a virus to destroy its mortal trade deal enemy politically and a Deep State/MSNDC complex being completely in bed with those same aims?

Which again just shows that "Russia! Russia!" was pathological projection by the Party of Ted Kennedy who in 1984 sought the aid of the Soviet Union to upend the Presidency of Ronald Reagan.
 
I still think you guys arguing against the effectiveness of masks are thinking about it completely wrong.

Masks are not there to prevent you from getting sick. They might not even be that good at that. There are better ways ff you are NOT sick to prevent getting sick. Hygiene, eating right, exercise, overall health are all more efficient ways of not getting sick.

But what masks do very well is preventing someone who IS sick that their germs from getting OUT INTO THE PUBLIC.

Doctors don't wear masks in surgery to prevent them from getting sick from the patients (duh!!!). Doctors wear masks so THEIR GERMS don't get into the patients during surgery when their guts are open. And doctors are 99% normally healthy when they perform surgery (or should be attuned to being healthy). I mean, it is pretty common practice that if a doctor is sick or has a fever, they don't do surgeries.

But then why do Doctors wear masks? Because they still have germs. Lots of germs. We all have germs. Many of us might even have SOME covid germs. But they just haven't "caught hold" yet or multiplied enough to make us sick or our body is doing a good job dealing with them without us even knowing.

Masks keep YOUR GERMS to yourself very well. Doctors don't wear fancy masks. Or face shields (sometimes they do but it's rare). But they wear masks.

And the same reason you want your doctors to wear masks should be the same reason, right now, you want EVERYONE around you in public to wear masks. But that is a two-way street. If you want other people to keep their germs to themselves, you have to follow the same rules. And you have to keep your germs to yourself.

I mean, if you think masks don't do that well, just ask your doctor before surgery to not wear his mask. Tell him you don't want to infringe on his comfort and masks don't do anything. Tell him all the nurses in the O.R. don't have to either. In fact, offer to have him not wash his hands that day.

You guys are looking at this all wrong. Hand washing, masks, distancing. It's NOT ABOUT YOU!!!! It's about other people.

ACT like a doctor. ACT like YOU have the bad germs and you are being considerate to the people around you. Period. It's just not that hard.

If you're directing this at me. here are my concerns.

Problem one - cloth mask. A man or woman walks into your office that you visit every day (really risky btw) occupied by 12 people. They are wearing a cloth mask, not an N95. That person can still walk up to a mirror, breathe, and fog it up. MEANING, the mask isn't stopping their water droplets. They are airborne. Cloth masks don't really stop that COVID person putting COVID via air droplets into the air. It might slow it down a tad (i.e., how far it travels). Your mask you're wearing won't prevent you from breathing that in, as we all agree.

How long does the COVID stay airborne he or she emitted through their cloth mask? We don't know. If it can travel 6 feet, what does that mean really?
What happens after it travels 6 feet? Does it fall to the floor and die? Does it hover in the air at 6 feet?

Problem two - You're in a building that has air conditioning, I'm sure. Which recirculates the air. Joe Blow I have COVID is wearing his cloth mask, exhales and COVID goes airborne. He happens to be near a return which sucks the air (and his COVID droplets) in, then the fans in the HVAC system push it back out through vents...maybe one above your desk.

Problem three - Joe Blow I have COVID's mask doesn't prevent (as SoOp has pointed out) the virus escaping above or to the side of the mask. Guaranteed even those wearing an N95 mask aren't fitting them correctly and if they have COVID it is being pushed out into the air.

People are putting TOO much faith into masks.

Do I believe they stop the airborne spread going FURTHER? Yep. Makes all the logical sense in the world. But scientists haven't given us a definitive answer on how long it can live airborne, how long it hangs in the air, what happens after it travels 6 feet. A mask is a preventative measure only.

If I were take the big risk you take by going to an office every day with 12 people with central recirculated air, I wouldn't work without a properly fitted N95. Keeping people at 12 feet of distance when you're in an air conditioned office space may have no effect. Even then, given we don't know enough about COVID, how it spreads, and the efficacy of masks...the real, only true preventive measure is to stay the hell at home.

Every mask I wear fogs my glasses, so I'm not certain it's the perceived panacea it's proclaimed to be, but will continue to abide by the requirements to wear one.

Today Fauci is saying goggles are the answer.

once the rona travels 6 feet, it dies. falls flat to the ground/floor and dies. it does not circulate with air streams or currents. HVAC is not strong enough to pull this micro-organism into the AC vents.

The other night on CNN, Erin Burnett and her minion guests were making fun of Herman and how he allegedly caught the virus. They were almost lagging at his illness. It was awful. At the end, Burnett said smugly “Well we here at CNN wish him well.” You could tell it was fake.

SoOp, if they are saying the virus DIES after traveling 6 feet, they are wrong. Viruses don't die, ever. Because they are not alive. The only thing that can happen is they go dormant. Viruses are either active or dormant.

Couldn't tell how much sarcasm was laced with this post. My SD (sarcasm detector) is taking interference today.

Thus, the virus goes straight out, then falls at a 90-degree angle, each and every time, no matter wind current or surroundings. after plummeting to the ground, it is consumed by the mighty slug. The slug is then scooped up by a carrier pigeon, taken to Nancy Pelosi's house and is used to make slug trails on her face.

They can be active or dormant inside the body. Outside the body they can be destroyed when their capsid, which is made of a proteinaceous covering, breaks down and exposes the genetic material inside to the environment. But you are correct that it isn't a living organism so it can't technically "die" but it can be destroyed.

Cain was battling stage 4 liver cancer. My guess is no one knows if he died from the Chinese flu or cancer. He was treated in 2006 for cancer but it had returned and metastases. He was dying before the virus hit. But I'm sure they'll put him on the COVID body count anyway.

are all the pro mask people going to wear goggles now? Fauci just recommended it and all justifications started so far about masks also apply to goggles. When you push back against wearing goggles, I say welcome to the side of those who don’t want to wear masks.
