There is plenty of blame to go around for the 2018 Pittsburgh Steelers: Mike Tomlin*(among other coaches), the puke worthy defense, the disappearing acts of Stephon Tuitt and Cam Heyward, Le’Veon Bell, Chris Boswell, and Antonio Brown to name a few. But to me most of the blame should go to the man under center […]

Thank you for your input Antdrew.

Ben leads the NFL with 1414 passing yards.

He is pressing. They have no running game, two on the O-line is not playing acceptable football. The defense is worse than the Bad News Bears. The coaching sucks ***. No WR is taking the top off coverage.

But yeah besides that it is Big Ben.

Isn't in the top 15. SMH.... I stopped right there.

Absolute rubbish. I don't buy an ounce of that assumption. They do need to change to a fast tempo offense and need to stop worrying about getting any certain player his statistics so he doesn't pitch a fit.

This offense hasn't had any flow to it in many many years.

Ben looks great at times and out of sync at others. This happened early last year when Ben said maybe he didn't have it any more. Last year, Ben started practicing all week with the team instead of his usual days off and it worked. The O was great for 3/4 of the season. So, why the **** hasn't that happened yet this year? Ben hardly practiced during the offseason so he now must practice the 2 or 3 times a week to hopefully finally get in sync with everyone.

The article is dead on the money!! I like ben and when hes on I think hes one of the best. But this past Sunday I was at the game and saw everything this article stated in person, I was on the field from the time the gates opened until the game started and not once did I see ben throw a pass just Dobbs and mason, even during the game the captain wasnt trying to get him team into the game he was over by himself not talking to anyone. Maybe just maybe if the captain got into the game the team would follow, hell a leader has to lead by example and I know this is going to hurt some feelings but it is what it is, and if this is how ben is going to act and do things maybe he should pass the torch on to a younger enthusiastic guy.

The article seems unfair and tainted towards an agenda. Is Ben the best Ben we've seen, NOT by a long shot but there are factors beyond his control. His work ethic is within his control and seems to be lacking for quite some years, so nothing new there. He has TWO ******* MONSTER DEVA'S to deal with and that is a new problem. He has a insufficient "D" that is contributing to playing from behind and couple that in with BEN'S CURRENT INCONSISTANCIES and here we are. Ben can turn his play around and I think this up coming game is what the doctor ordered to help with that. Dobbs or Rudolf would NOT be an improvement under this coaching staff so don't go there. Play calling and the mantra of the deep ball has BEN dong what won't work. Get past the deep and more consistant in the play calling and we move forward. One way to change the offense would be the NO-huddle continuously not allowing substitutions for opponents. BEN has a microphone in his helmet so plays could be relayed and yes he can call limited plays himself. STEP up and be a leader and NOT just on the field of play but we as fans can't shoulder the whole cluster Fluck of players devanism on BEN as it is TOMLIN that created this culture.

Salute the nation

He’s not top 15 this yr those are the facts. And we’re back to he has a lot of passing yards because those win games. 8 td’s 5 ints 24th in qb rating truth hurts

He has a lot of passing yards because most of the time we're playing from behind.

For me it’s several things that stick out.
The lack of a running game has hurt the offense. The lack of a deep threat to allow AB not to be so tightly covered that he can’t get separation. The play calling especially on third downs when we need short yardage and Ben’s going for chunk yards. Ben’s timing with AB is not there. Fitchner and Ben relationship probably not the best idea for offense to be successful. Most importantly there doesn’t seem like there’s a real game plan ever in place. It seems like it’s a pickup game out there when this offense takes the field.

The offense is sleepwalking 5/8 of the game.
The defense has 11 starters, 8 of whom would be 2nd-stringers on other teams.
The special teams are nothing special this year. Our K, P, are mediocre, and if not for safety-conscience ST rules in place, our coverage teams would likely be exposed.
Our coaching staff looks lost. All the time. No leadership. No command of their units. No command of in-game situations.

2018 in a nutshell.

I think the window closed last season. Might as well keep playing to make money if his body can handle it but he's done.

Name the 15 guys above Ben.

Ben can't complete a deep ball, he keeps throwing them out of bounds. The deep threat problem isn't our receivers, it's Ben's deep ball accuracy, which is currently putrid

Perhaps his elbow injury is legit. If so, he won't be practicing again today for a 'vet day' off.

I think the window closed last season.

It was set up to be the perfect season, till the jesse td pass got overruled, we lost homefield, and Shazier got hurt.

Its been all downhill from there

Ain't no midnight round here. Get 'da *** 'outta here.................

It's more like 10PM. I think he has this year and next year.

Watched his interview on the Steelers site and he is accepting total responsibility for the losses. Can't fault him for dodging that. Hopefully he starts to click soon.
