I wonder if his wife didn't get cancer and he stayed on a while longer how many SBs we would have won. He clearly had his issues with championship games but Ben was that missing piece. We never got to see what Cowher could have done long term with a franchise QB and a solid D. MT got prime Ben and Cowhers D and then the defense disintegrated. Once Cowhers team got old, MT never had 2 solid units at the same time...it was either strong D or strong O. Bill was just missing that QB. I never thought id say one day that I missed Cowher but over the last decade I said it many times. He was intense.
