The book is Legacy by James Kerr. The link is a piece on how Clemson has adopted the cultural philosophy of the
All Blacks, New Zealand's successful rugby team. One of the key pieces is the "sweeping the shed" point. Meaning
for the good of the team, any player should be willing to do the most menial of tasks. No player should be above the good
of the team and it's history.

I'll say it again, this is Tomlin's follies, his monster that was created. He's the ******* head coach and he allowed Brown and Bell to conduct their nonsense and enabled it. This guy everything he touches he destroys. The Steelers defense where he's had how many seasons to build since LeBeau has been gone, 8 seasons and counting? The Steeler mystique and reputation has been ruined by this buffoon, he's made the organization a laughingstock. This is his doing and only his.

Bingo, and I'm not sure how anyone can argue otherwise.

How is Bell Tomlins fault? Bell seemed to perform when he played. His problem was a contract dispute over money, which seems to be Art and Colbert's responsibility.

Yeah, for the most part. Tomlin only job with Bell was to get on field production from him. Mike did that. Money issues are up the Art and Colbert to sort out which is causing the Bell dispute.

Well the Steelers are full of diva players, and a head coach who can't control them.

Here is how Tomlin performed his magic with one LevBell. Special treatment given when Bell misses Saturday walk thru prior to Jacksonville playoff game and to add insult, Mr.Bell decides to show up late for the Sunday playoff game, where he promptly starts the game without a second though. Give you a parallel with a similar incident by Belicheck when he did not start or play his best corner back Butler in last years SB loss to the Eagles for a team infraction that went undisclosed.

Also Mr.Tomlin entire philosophy in how he uses Bell has been totally mishandled. He has said in the past and followed through with his statement of running the wheels off of Bell just like he did with Mendenhall the short time he was here and the same with Willie Parker. Do you not think this was on Bell's mind prior to when he had to report this past season in November? Hell yes it was! He knew what goofy Tomlin was going to do. Rather than work Bell as the feature back using Connor and JaySam as a change of pace, no, Tomlin was once again going to run the wheels off Bell. He had a race horse in the stable and was running it to death for four seasons and would have for a fifth season. The man is clueless!

And ran him into the ground for four seasons and would have a fifth season as well. The Steelers would have been better off had they used DeAngelo Williams more than they did when he was here and Lagarrett Blunt when he was here to take some of the load off Bell. Then they could have done the same last year with Connor in 2017. And he again mishandled Bell with special treatment. See my response to 21 Steelers21.

Bell by himself does not necessarily constitute a head coaching problem. But it’s become clear in recent weeks/months that the Steelers have too many players that are out for themselves (Bell, AB, LJ Fort, who knows who else). There is clearly not a strong enough concept of “team” and “nobody bigger than the team” being created in Pittsburgh. As much as I hate Br*dy, he shows up to meetings, focuses on the details, and still positions himself as a cog in the wheel. We have too many guys who care about themselves individually over the team, especially star players, and to me that is a head coaching problem. It is very obviously the biggest problem with this team
