Has to be the offense. All that talent, and nothing. This wasn't just today. This offense has been sputtering all three games. Poor play calling, worse execution, it is bad. I know our defense has issues, but I expected that. They haven't been good in a while. But with the talent on offense, no reason they shouldn't be scoring regularly. This team as a whole has ALOT of issues.

All 3 phases of the team sucking, and not being prepared = coaching

Until our running game can do anything, the O is going to struggle.
One of the best OLine in football has gotten pushed around alot and our 17 million dollar rb doesn't even look like a 7 million dollar rb.

Let us be fair, this team as a whole has way under-performed. And going in the wrong direction.

When is Bell going to just run and stop sidestepping and dancing? I see a ton of other RBs with less talent and they go forward and get chunks of yards.

He's not playing like a 15 million dollar RB

The highest paid player on our team should be better too then???

drew the team as a whole sucked and wasn't good enough. From the top down.

And this disturbing trend has only one overall blame.

The head coach as it should.

Please dont start saying Trend again lol

The biggest issue is the coach. It has been for years now.

I honestly do not blame Roethlisberger for embracing retirement.

Yep, mediocre coach with a great organization.

Our offense sucked in the playoffs too, good thing we played backup QBS and the Chiefs before again being exposed by Belicheck.

Hey I hate it, I want it not to be true

damn I do

But damn the same **** in a repeat cycle

I really strongly feel the talent is there to do better

Do you know how many active head coaches have a better winning percentage than Tomlin? One. Because now he's tied with McCarthy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Football_League_head_coaches_with_50_wins

And he's never had a losing season, despite turning over nearly the entire roster. Good luck replacing that kind of production.

Yes because those wins were all because of Tomlin's genius coaching. Anyone who watches the Steelers regularly cannot possibly believe this coaching staff (Tomlin, Haley AND Butler) are the reasons we win. They have the same game plan week in week out and we win when our players outplay the other team. Plain and simple.

Actually name one thing Tomlin has ever done to give the team an edge. Sadly it was trying to trip a kick returner on his way to the endzone.

Trouble replacing that production? I think half this board could have that production with the talent this team has had over the last decade.

The offense is the biggest issue and it starts with the offensive line. This unit has underperformed this year and having two starters out did not help today. Bell doesn't look like half the player he was last year and the passing game looks like how I play on Madden, Hail Mary every play. Take what the defense gives you.

Absolutely, but if Bryant catches that first pass Ben has a QB rating of 102, while he didn't play great, he played well enough for a road win, if you don't allow 200 yards rushing, muff a punt to set up a score, and allow a blocked FG to set up another score.
This offense, whether it's Tomlin or Haley's call is run first team and the offensive play calling is alot more fluid when the run game is going

It was overthrown. Dont start your slowed down stuff. It was overthrown. Could Bryant have dived yes but it was overthrown. And we are not a run first team..a run first team doenst line up in 5 wide on 3rd and one

To be fair to the defense. They made key stops and gave the offense an opportunity to close out the game.
A lot of missed chances haunted the team today. Dropped ball my Martavis, the blocked FG. There were points that would've had the Steelers 3-0.

The D did belly over in overtime though.
But I still felt they did enough to win. The offense is a concern

Went right through his hands, didn't say anything about slowing down, but it's quite obvious you saw it, which is why you brought it up. It's funny of all the other things, 200+ allowed yards, muffed punt, blocked FG, constant over pursuing and mis tackling, you harp on Ben, and no one even said he played a good game.

I'll take back my argument. Yeah it was overthrown. Still a missed opportunity

Come on, no one will claim Ben had a great game, but that failed touchdown was square on the shoulders of Bryant. Ben laid it right in there for him and he failed to make the play.

The talent was in position to make plays they didnt. Whether it was a drop bad throw missed tackles not recovering a fumble dropped ints. They were in position the talent didnt make them.

Good coaches can win when their team isn't playing their best. They also don't lose to inferior opponents on a shockingly regular basis.

Maybe I worded it wrong initially but that's what I was trying to say.
