DeAngelo has been amazing for us this season. Just a few short weeks ago, steeler fans were fretting over whether Bell would serve a 3 or 2 game suspension. Bell had it reduced to 2, and a collective sigh of relief fell upon Steeler Nation. In steps in a leaner, quicker, stronger DeAngelo Williams to fill the void, and before any Steeler fan could lose their fingernails by biting them, Williams simply imposed his will on the field. In 2 short weeks he's gone from a big question mark, to the #2 RB in the league. He's averaging over 100yds per game and he has more TDs than any RB in the league! I am no longer worried if Bell goes down this season, because we have a top talent right behind him.

There has been no drop off from Bell to DeAngelo. Sure Williams isn't the pass catching threat Bell is, and Bell's versatility is going to kill teams trying to put a LB on him, but he's simply just racked up the second best stats in the league by a RB in Bell's absence. Tomlin asked Williams to drop weight and show up in the best shape possible. He's coming to a new team, and showed Tomlin that he was willing to do what it took when he showed up 15 lbs lighter, and better conditioned than he's ever looked. That's a big step for a free agent coming to a new team, and speaks highly of his work ethic and character.

Huge kudos to Williams for exceeding any of my expectations of him playing on the field. He is simply the best non-drafted RB we've had since Bettis, and I couldn't be happier for his success on the field. Best of luck to you on the rest of the season Will.I.Ams, and I expect to be cheering for you on spells and short yardage!

When asked about Bell's return, flashing his big smile and red tipped hair, "I'm his Biggest Fan ... and I can't wait for the Young Bull to be back on the field". Well, I can't wait to see you compliment him, because I think we finally found our short yardage/ goal line back.

A very bright contrast in attitude compared to Blunt when he his *** got all red because he wasn't getting the ball while Bell was having a huge game. Williams has been great and a very nice addition to the offense. I hope they are able to compliment each other on the field throughout the rest of the season. Kudos to the line as well for getting it together.

I am geeked about the offense IF we can avoid injuries and more suspensions... think about it... Wallace has been the biggest liability and even he has been playing well... by seasons end Pouncy will have that role back....

after that you have Bell, arguably the best back in the league, Williams, a capable back in his own right, and a wr corps that is downright scary... in 5 wide with Brown, Bryant, DHB, Wheaton and either Bell or Miller, who do you focus coverage on? Brown needs triple covered to eliminate him... Miller is a mismatch for lbs, Bryant needs doubled due to speed, DHB is a speed demon... wheaton can play either the deep or short route well, and Bell can kill you in space... Litrerally teams are going to have to keep extra DBs on the field and then you can run on them

He done me good, I will be sad to sit him.

Dare we say "Thunder and Lightning?"

Question is has Haley and Tomlin learned from last seasons playing time balance between your RB1 & RB2? I can see Williams getting frustrated by Week 9 if he gets the Blount treatment. Especially after proving he is effective in the offense. Williams has to play at least a 3rd of the game for the season. When it comes playoff time, then I'd reduce it and give hopefully a fresh Bell 80% to 90% of the snaps if necessary.

D Will is playing lights out. Nothing but respect for him.

He won me my fantasy game yesterday. lol

He's been great on the field - and maybe most importantly, a great influence off it. Glad to have him on the team!!

BTW, was nice to see Tomlin/Haley learned from the Will Johnson "goal line back" experiment last week.

It's hard to take Bell off the field. Why?? Cause not only is he arguably the best running back. Not only is he the best pass catching back out the back field or lined up at WR. He is the best at picking up the blitz. That last point is very underrated and the key to why he gets so many snaps.
