Texas Wattage

He's got a $0 dead money hit next year, the last year of his contract. $17M in cap savings if cut. Bet he would take less to play with his brothers should Houston cut him for cap space.

I wonder if he'll go into coaching when he's done playing. I think he'd be a good motivator.

Wouldn't Buggs be a good fit for that role? Thing is... he hardly gets a hat on Sundays.

I felt they should have given him a hat over Tuitt to send a message, but Tuitt did improve substantially. With Tomlin it is always follow the money and the pedigree. Tell me what Wormley has done over Buggs. Buggs may have saved the first Ravens game.

I'd take JJ for one year to play with his brothers for that chance of a ring. I think he would be uber motivated. One can dream. . .

Class acts. All of them.

Yep. That's why people are off base when they are complaining that the steelers are only playing with 2 DL. They're not. They are playing Watt and Bud/Highsmith at DE in a 4 man front. They should re-think this though since Williamson sucks. They'd be better off with a 5 man front with a NT, especially against good running teams. Let's pack Tuitt, Alualu and Heyward inside and see who runs on us.

it is indeed a 4 man front but with 2 down linemen and 2 ends on feet. I have no issue with a 4 man front. The problem is that they don't align like a traditional 43. The DT's play too wide and leave the middle soft. Adding an NT would make it like an old 5-2 Oklahoma defense. Very stout against the run, very soft against pass. I would rather just see them bump Tuitt down a gap (zero or one technique) rather than add a lineman. That said, not sure Tuit would draw the OC-RG double team needed to make that work.
