(CNN) - Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, was indicted Friday on felony charges of coercion of a public servant and abuse of his official capacity.

The two counts against Perry, a Republican, stem from his threat to veto funding for a public integrity unit run by Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg unless she resigned, the special prosecutor in the case, Michael McCrum, said.

He should do whatever the hell he wants and cite Bomma as a precedent.

I never did trust that hair.

I don't know what to thin about this. Perry is a shady guy- the whole Gardasil vaccine thing (in which he got donations to his campaign from Merck for pushing the vaccine).....but doesn't this kind of thing happen all the time?????

One of the newer tricks in the Dem playbook. Find some local Dem hack D.A. to file charges against Republican officials who might run for office. Doesn't matter if any charges stick, just that the press is out there during a campaign.

Don't worry. This stinks so strongly of abuse of power that the press will be all over it. This is the kind of **** that investigative journalists live for.

Yes. Kidding.

Yep here is the one that filled the charges. Governor Perry threatened to veto the funding because this lush won't step down.

drunken bull dyke democrat ***** prosecutor

Cooliie - take care of this *****, this is your territory

So Obama publicly said that if the Congress doesn't want him making executive orders on immigration, then they need to pass legislation. Is someone going to sue him for abuse of power?

Typical Progressive move, especially since the Chicago gangsta style has proven to be so effective for Barry in the past.
..the Tribune finally admitted that it was Axelrod and the Obama campaign that brought pressure on the press to demand the unsealing of M. Blair Hull divorce records, which had had their contents leaked to media outlets by the Obama campaign even earlier. The Obama campaign also helped orchestrate a demonstration by women’s groups demanding Hull’s withdrawal from the race. Coincidentally, this was the same weekend Obama’s first commercials hit the airwaves. Interestingly (or maybe not), the same exact thing happened to another of his rivals–Jack Ryan. Certainly gives one pause.

Then during the 2012 campaign we had this...

First it was Harry Reid’s indecent act on the floor of the United States Senate about Mitt Romney not paying taxes in 10 years – an allegation made without so much as a scintilla of evidence to back it up. At the time I thought this was as low as it would get during this campaign. But then came The Ad, produced and paid for by Priorities USA, a Super Pac supporting Barack Obama – and run by a former press spokesman for the president. The ad — casually and incredibly — linked Mitt Romney to the death of a woman who had cancer.

This was not simply nonsense. It was despicable and eventually proven to be not even remotely factual.

So now we see the same stuff....

The latest is Gov. Rick Perry, who following his indictment on two felony charges, is staring at the most serious accusations of wrongdoing by a prominent Republican governor openly considering a run for president.

In New Jersey, Gov. Chris Christie is trying to move beyond the apparent effort of his staff to create traffic chaos on a bridge into Manhattan late last year, while state prosecutors in Wisconsin are examining whether Gov. Scott Walker coordinated too closely during a past campaign with outside conservative groups.

Why in the world would you think that the Libtards would change their tactics now ?

So what's he guilty of, being anti-Obama?
