PFT has reported maybe 'ol Lovie Smith would be interested in trading his #34 pick and more to get back into the first round and get one of the falling pass rushers (Gregory???).

Would you trade this year's #22 pick with Gregory & Johnson still on the board for their #34 pick and their first round pick next year?

damn straight I would

Does not sound like enough depending on who was there we might not have a chance at them later.

No, but I'd consider it for their R2P2, R3P1. In fact, I would do that in a heartbeat.

yinz realize Winston will struggle year one regardless of how he pans out so really damn good chances the Steelers would get a top ten pick.........

That's a gamble I would be willing to take...............

I'd milk them for as much as I could, but I could probably get a comparable prospect at 34 as I could at 22.

I doubt it would be that rich, but HELL YES!

It would require more than that. A pick in the next year's draft is always considered to be one round later. So a 1st next year equals a 2nd this year. They'd have to give their 3rd also.

No, a 2nd round pick to move up eight spots is more than fair in this years draft.

I think ya'll are too damn excited for tonight.

Absolutely would love this scenario. Meat and potatoes of this draft is in rds 2-4, IMO.

Absolutely! I wish we could make all our picks in those rounds, there is so much to like at most positions we need.

Right, so how is #34 and next years 1st round pick (considered a 2nd this year) not enough for #22?
You are correct, it does work on paper. Sorry I didn't realize that's what you were saying. Not sure the Steelers want to look that far ahead though, given our roster needs this year...

I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Can you imagine having two first rounders next draft?

You're right. I'd rather have a 2nd and 3rd this year though.

Where do you think Tampa Bay will be drafting this time next year?

If I thought they'd be a playoff team, I might be hesitant, otherwise I take the deal and hope to have a top 10 pick in addition to my own first rounder next year.

2nd and 3rd, and option to switch 2nd's next year.

Huh?

All I read is wah, wahing about how the Steelers are wasting these last tyears of Ben, and some of you are open to pushing it down the road another year?

I proposed that very thing recently. In a heartbeat.

I'd suspect Tampa wants to move up and grab a higher tier OL to protect JW. And they'd be grabbing one that Carolina may want.

IF they want to trade up I would want more than the chart for this year Their second and third and next years 1.
