Sweet Mother of God! L Green says he wants to come back.

No!

He was good in the limited reps. But the guy cannot stay healthy

Lookin for easy money.

Reality is he won't be cut until they see how well he has recouperation. I hope it is before Training Camp. He may participate but oh that is a fine line VS injury. I think to big of risk, cut him before TC, unless he is TOTALLY good (very doubtful)

even if he feels better he's one hit away from missing games again

I totally get that and in NO way do I want him kept on the roster. I'm just saying what I think the STEELERS will do with him.

He wasn't used properly, would look good in another uniform, would probably sign for vet minimum

Pretty sad to see so many of you want to jettison a potentially awesome piece to pile on next year when Bryant and the WR corps are all back. Yeah, he didn't do much for us this year, but that hit was ******* nasty and I think he deserves the same optimism we had when he was somewhat of an unknown heading into the season. We don't know what we'll get from him, same as this year.

What does cutting him now do for us when he's signed through 2020?

We see many hits much worse than what he took. His brain is scrambled, he needs to think long term but he won't he only see's $$$$$$$ . He is very talented when on the field no question but he is playing Russian roulette with his post NFL life

So,..........YOU'RE ok paying $1.5million(something near that) per game for 3 1/2 games a year. MUST be one HELL of a player!!! Sorry as I want full or near full season players.

Concussions are such a hot-button issue with the NFL....I like the guy but you just cannot have him on the field. One heavy hit and the scrutiny this team will take if he's allowed back on. Let alone, he's already been in and out of the protocol too many times. Injury settlement and move on.

What does cutting him now do for us when he's signed through 2020?

From what I saw yesterday int he PG:

"If the Steelers come to the determination that Green’s concussion history is too risky and they cut him it would save them $6.1 million in salary, but the dead money charge against the salary cap in 2017 would be $3.5 million."

He has no trade value. Not after another concussion and a base salary of $5 million next year.

I am not 100% how injury settlements work in the NFL, but that could have a lot to do with what this team decides to do with him. If he comes to OTA's and has ANOTHER concussion is the team on the hook for all $5 million? I'm not sure how that works or how injury settlements affect the salary cap.

We can save over $3.5 million on our salary cap by releasing him as a post June 1st designation but would then have about $2.3 million in dead money for next season. Medium dollars in the scheme of things really.

We could also approach him with a pay cut. Not sure he'd get $5 million on the open market so if he wants to stay, let's lower that to $2 or $3 million. That would get his salary cap $$ (albeit all this year) close to what it would cost to release him (albeit spread out over this year and next).

I would not expect any decision on Green until after the NFL draft.

What about an Injury settlement or file a grievance with the NFLPA.
