SUPERBOWL LX Hawks vs Pats

Seahawks got lucky with timing and Darnold but did it right. Young Coach. Get better with the draft. Basically barely a guy anyone would know outside of Darnold, who is a reclamation and JSN. And went from firing long time HC to SB in two years. You cant live being competitive. Got rid of dead weight in Metcalf to Steelers. Its gonna take a while people. If they went safe with McCarthy and are gonna do the same **** could be 10 or more.

LOL Wonder how DK feels about having his single season seahawks recieving record Broken in week 10 and now they win the superbowl. They are the team of addition by substraction. The Seahawks got a blessing in disguise when Charbonnet got hurt. Forced them to play Walker They don't win that game without him.

I hope they make Bellicheat have to wear a suit like that to make the HOF
The entire NFL jock media jumped on the voters for doing what they did. I'm just glad somebody took a stand and pointed out the The Pats* whole run under Belli is not legit.

They all suck from the same NFL teat, so they all do the see no evil hear no evil dance for Goodell and the owners. Those are the real clowns.

Turned it off with 2:00 to go in the first half, but what I did see was some stellar CB play by both teams. Historically, the refs hardly throw flags in the playoffs and even less in the SB, so that helps. But this is why I hope the team drafts two DBs in the top 100 this year. I would love to get three (2 CBs and a S) but will hope for one of each.

Three years of Geno Smith with moderate regular season success (wins: 9, 9, 10) and no playoff wins. MacDonald got the defense on the same page, playing as unit (something we honestly haven't seen since Dick LeBeau was DC) and found a solid (not great) QB for their offense.

Seattle is the epitome of building without tanking. The Steelers have a foundation in place and probably need to make some "tough decision" moves for the defense. Graham has to get that side of the ball playing as a unit rather than individuals and they can add young talent with so many draft picks.

Offensively, Seattle had Smith, the Steelers have had 4-5 different versions of this type of QB. Running it back with Rodgers would be doing the same. We need that JSN-type WR and a solid QB. Not easy to find, but they need to try.

But Seattle got extremely lucky with QB. I djnt know about tanking but until you have a QB you are still building.

Darnold wasn't luck for Seattle. They made the decision to trade Smith and replace him with Darnold. Darnold actually took a step back this season and it was still good enough because of the talent on the rest of the roster.

The Steelers do have the talent.
They just need the proper coaching and actual schematics to piece it together

I'm not so sure, but hope you are correct.

Due to Cali Taxes, Darnold and likely other actually lost money playing in the Super Bowl. The NFL should not give them a SB unless they waive this nonsense

Sam Darnold made 2.5 million extra in his contract getting to and winning the SB,with one million on the game alone. You can shed a tear. I won’t.

And believe me….the endorsements will happen.

Darnold threw for 4k 25 TDs to 11 Int with a QBR of 99. That does not come up very often on the open FA market. Sorry. And Minn keeps him if they didn't draft a QB first round

Exactly Seattle made their luck. TheirGM is also the star here. He saw the writing on the wall with Pete Carroll,Geno did some good things but was never going to get them over the hump and he refused to pay a premium contract to him for a not premium QB. Like their last SB run, Seattle has built their defense with premium DB’s as high draft choices in the draft reminiscence of the Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor days. Nick Emmanwori and Witherspoon will be stars for many years.
Mike McDonald should easily be coach of the year. Yet he’s just mentioned as an afterthought.

Interesting reading how a lot of you guys thought this was one of the most horrible SB games ever. Being an old school fan,I loved the defensive show and the running game Seattle showed. Funny enough many on here have wanted a great defense, ball control offense for years.

1st SB. 16-6.
Terry Bradshaw 9-14 96 yards. Franco 158. Rocky 65 yards

2nd SB. 21-16
Terry 9-19 209 yards. Franco 82. Rocky 51.

These are the games this SB reminded me of. With our stifling defense and great running game.

Sam Darnold 19-38 202 yards.
Walker. 135 yards.

31 teams had the option to sign Sam Darnold. Seattle is the team that did. It wasn't luck, it was strategy based on who was available. Minnesota's part is extremely irrelevant because they did draft a QB in the first round. It was a poor draft selection, but it was over for Darnold in Minnesota the moment they drafted McCarthy.

Huh?? Walker had 50 more carries over the course of the season, than did Charbonnet. Charbonnet was primarily their 3rd down option, although they did give him more than just 3rd down snaps here and there, dependent on gameplan and game flow. For all intents and purposes, Walker WAS their starter

I don't know why that doesn't violate the Commerce Clause.

ADD in they need to re-develope a winning culture. That can’t just be turned off or on at a whim.
Might take some time to achieve that.

Salute the nation

Not that I disagree with you Omar, but let’s get the facts straight. Walker had 37 more carries but also played one more game than Charbonnet. Over a 17 game schedule that averages out to 2 more carries a-game. Charbonnet had 730 yards compared to 1030 for Walker. But he also had 12 TD’s to Walker’s 5.

Walker was their #1 back. Charbonnet was more than just a 3rd down option. Pretty darn good 1-2 punch.

Ok but we both know that was extremely fortunate timing on their part. Its not often a guy coming off an MVP candidate season at QB is available and the team he is on isn't making a sell out bid. Like really c'mon.

He came off a good enough season that he should have been attractive and was to the Seahawks. The Steelers didn’t even sniff in his direction. Give me this kind of production any day…

Exactly Slash. Plus he was only 27. Instead of signing all these guys with one foot in the grave of their football careers. We would not have had to talk about who the **** will be our starting QB for 4 years. Which would have been rather refreshing. Plus his contract was not absurd. He had a good season with Minnesota. His departure got the GM fired.
He definitely would have been better than anyone we’ve had for 6 years.
