Super Bowl LV

the key for KC was Leveon Bell? Bwah!!

As ironic as that sounds yes! They needed to run the football to keep Brady off the field the same way the Bucs needed to run the football. You knew the Chiefs wouldn't be able to run Hilare on the outside as the Bucs Defense is too quick. In between the tackles is where Bell could have done damage. The fact that he didn't even sniff the field was a bad move by Andy Reid. One Dimensional offenses can't win a football game.

What can we trade to Tampa to get him? If he's gonna keep going to Super Bowls it mine as well be on my team.

I just want us to run whatever ******* system that guy brings with him. Now defensively the Bucs played like champions. Allowing 3 field goals? That's pretty badass. They really won that game and who I'd give the mvp to.

Congratulations to Bruce Arians and the Tampa Bay Bucaneers as Super Bowl Champions. An excellent game plan by Arians, Bowles & Leftwich.....especially Todd Bowles on a masterful gameplan to keep Tyreek Hill in check pretty much the entire game. It went pretty much how I predicted as I knew the key for TB was their ability to run the football and keep Mahomes off the field. The irony of this Super Bowl is the lack of KC's ability to run the football early in the game and sustain drives and wear down TB's front 7 on Defense was the difference in this game. The key for the KC's was LeVeon Bell but I didn't even see him on the field all game long.and he was active tonight. I can't help but think the distraction of Andy Reid's idiot kid and his car accident this past Thursday while your team preps their game plan and puts the finishing touches on the teams preparation wasn't a distraction to the KC Chiefs and their Coach Reid. Really sad that happened and I'm sure it weighed on the mind of the Head Coach the past 3 days.

Oh well congrats to the Bucs!

I dont think the fact that KC arrived in Tampa yesterday helped either. Sad about Reid's family ones dies to an OD, and apparently the other one has issues as well which put other lives in danger. KC was just not in the game mentally. Too many penalties / breakdowns / losing their cool etc etc. I believe KC should have tried to run more. They had some success, but never really focused on it.

Dont understand why KC knew their OLine was **** and they still kept running those slow developing long routes instead of quick hitches, etc.

Wrong on the Bucs, Leftwich as been calling plays the entire winning streak and before that too.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...ns-wont-be-taking-over-offensive-playcalling/

I have no idea if Leftwich was calling the plays or if he's the one that rounded their offense as the seaon progressed. It will be interesting next year if they continue to put up points and Leftwich gains prominence. Tomlin's contract up, Leftwich an ex Steeler, battling the back lash of "retiring Tomlin" with the national media. Just a thought, it relieves the Rooneys of undeserved hypocrisy and an easy way to get rid of Tomlin

Nothing should be motivated because of ethnicity but if you don't think the duece is not aware of negative ramifications of firing Tomlin and is reluctant due to the rule proposed by dad.

It didn't help that he ran 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage after every snap.

That was all he had. Russell Wilson 2 years ago. 9 and 10 step drop. Make enough space so you can move both ways. It doesn't matter how you throw or catch or run. If you cannot block you are ******. Same with the Steelers this year. People are gonna say overconfidence or the Reid/ kid tragedy. Fundamentally they lost their left tackle and were ******. Their oline was Swiss cheese

No offense to Lefty. Good dude. How can you know the value of an OC that works with Brady.

Without a doubt, I'm not promoting him as the next Chuck Knoll. I am saying that he's going to grow as the next hot take if the Buccaneers offense continues. He will, believe me. Not saying it's the thing to do but if Tampa comes back next year and knocks on the door he's going to be a a name like KC's OC without the past.

Lefty is a high class individual nothing like Bienemie

That's not even a debate between Bienemie and Leftwich. It's not suprising owners are afraid of hiring Bienemie. I think even the media is beginning to understand why he doesn't have a head coaching job.

I'm suggesting Leftwich as a super bowl offensive coordinator puts up 31 points while playing conservative most of the second half after game in hand. If the Bucs are successful next year offensively, Leftwich will be a name. I'll go back to what I said before if Brian is truley the guy that's calling the shots on offense, Art Duec needs to give him an interview and without regards to the Rooney rule.

Chiefs barely beat the Browns. KC was there for the taking. Too bad we **** the bed against the Clowns.

Losing to the Clowns almost sorta kinda feels like a blessing in disguise sorta.
The loss may have saved Steeler Nation from mass suicide!

Losing to Brady once again would have been devastating had we somehow advanced to the Super Bowl.

Why? I'm not trying to be a smartass, I don't follow that stuff, so what is the problem with him?

Same, I've never seen an interview with him or anything.

As far as the Super Bowl, I didn't expect Tampa's defense to be that good and KC's defense to be that bad.

Mahommes QBR was 52.8 for the game.

Mahommes QBR was 52.8 for the game.

Qbr is a very stupid stat based on the illogical concept that the imbaciles grading the plays actually know the plays, routes, and reads... the only persons qualified to make that grade would be the head coach and oc... he didn’t play great, but he was running for his life a lot

I'm not absolving Mahomes but basically if you graded the oline they would have got a D-. You have to give a ton of credit to the Bucs defense. They humbled Brees, Rogers and Mahomes in three successive games. Impressive.

Pretty much the grade our Oline graded out all season. Seeing the most explosive player and offense in the NFL reduced to nothing because the Oline couldn't pass protect, doesn't make me feel quite as bad about our 38 year old QB and offense, if we can do something about our OL. LOL

I tweeted into SNR radio Friday that the penalties would be heavily skewed towards TB, that's a given.

I was the only one in my household to pick the Bucs lol

For some it takes staying at a Holidy In n Express, for others (like you) it just takes BACON.

Salute the nation

It showed the importance of the OL and the fundamentals of blocking. We lost to Greenbay because of our OL was the weak link. We also can't adapt or improvise away from whatever game plan is put into play.

The Steelers could not run the ball when it mattered. We do have better wideouts than KC. Which is basically a TE and a No.1 receiver. The Bucs took out the wr and took advantage of a weak OL. They made Mahomes look like a scrub qb running around like a chicken with his head cut off.

Mahomes is human. He looks like an average QB last night. Good job by TB. They had a strong gameplan, made plays and KC was never really in it. Some penalty calls were questionable, but that's not won/lost the game for either side. KC couldn't stop TB. End of story.

D- is being generous

Since KC's o-line for that one game last night looked just like the Steelers o-line of the last 10-12 years, I guess you can say Mahomes is no Ben.

I know, that's not fair... Mahomes, with preparation and knowledge that his o-line is ****, might still be great like Ben.

The penalties really did have a huge impact on the game. TB was the better team yesterday and likely would have won anyway but this would have been a tight game if pass interference and holding was called equally. The chiefs did get stops and then the drives continued due to penalties. Not a single one of those calls were blatant, meaning they were all close judgement calls.

I thought all but 1 of them were bad calls. What bothers me about that is that we are to believe that the TB defense locked down all those Chiefs WRs all game and didn’t grab once. Bullshit.

These calls had a huge impact not only by extending drives but the Chiefs defense played less aggressively the rest of the game so guys got more open.
