The team is down 14 points. You're at your own 20, it's 4th and 10 in the 4th quarter with 5 minutes to go and all your time outs. WHY WOULD YOU GO FOR IT?
You've got plenty of time to punt, get three stops and get the ball back again. Instead, you turn it into a 3 possession lost cause.
