Good question but everyone wanted him re-signed, so he was worth it when they signed him

Yeah, but not everyone was in favor of paying top (or 2nd) guard in the league money. I definitely wanted to keep him, but also warned paying him top guard in the league money was not warranted.

You just can't wrap $30M a year in the C,RG,RT while paying a franchise QB and pay top WR money and top HB money unless you plan to spend virtually nothing on your D.

Our D has Timmy, Heyward and Mitchell making money with Timmy coming off the books after this year and his cash likely going to Brown and Bell. Our D will suffer with this allocation of cap.

I don't really see the big outrage over this one. He tried to trip him and get a cheap sack while being blocked. You could probably see the same type of thing 5 times every Sunday if you look for it.
