From what I read, it was a power struggle between the GM and the analytics guy. GM decided to leave when it was determined he would not have a say in the new coach.
it is not going to matter...they will suck again next year
If I am the GM in that position, I would leave too.
Yeah that blew me away to read that. He's the ******* GM!
I am sure the analytics guy will find the perfect coach for the job. best part, he won't have to incur a lot of travel expenses...all the data is right there on NFL.com
Colin cowherd was talking to someone about this. If they bring in a power coach, like Urban Meyer, or a Ron Rivera type, they would want their own gm or to be their own gm. So Dorsey suggested coaches he would be able to keep his job with. Like this stefanski guy.
