Steelers will soon learn Le'Veon Bell's greatest quality is overrated

What won the super bowl and playoffs for Philly after Wentz went down, was scoring, and play calling to the strength fo your players. Foles is not the pocket passer Wentz is. So when Wentz went down, they changed the offense to a read option, to help Foles do what he does best. Reading defenses and reacting to what he sees.

Losing their best player on D and their franchise QB would derail most teams. The Eagles showed that coaching can have a positive effect in the face of adversity.

unfortunately, we don't have that coaching. no change no matter what...but, that's another thread for another time. Hoping Bell is gone next year.

We tried to change the D last year when Shazier went down, nothing worked and we got exploited. We didn't have the talent to recover and lost both of our top RILBs. Then the secondary was exploited by attacking Mitchell, who had no business being in a football field. That's my only complaint about the D. Putting Mitchell in the field.

Problem is they didn't have anyone better than Mitchell but again, that's another discussion for another time.

Bell is a damn good running back and it's going to suck to lose his talent. Besides the lack of true breakaway speed, I was happy when he was drafted and have enjoyed watching him. His contract withstanding, the organization is going to go back to the drawing board next season whether it's for a FA, the guys of the roster or a draft pick. He is a really good all around back and will be missed. I don't think we should take for granted of what will be losing. Sure, the team will move on and be fine, but I like/liked seeing #26 in the backfield.
The Steelers as a team made Bell a very productive offensive threat. He is now confused about his ability and assumes he will succeed where ever he goes. His agent is a complete idiot and Bell should have listened to his own mother last year when the Steelers offered $ 13.3 million per year. She encouraged him to take the deal while his money hungry agent refused it and has brainwashed Bell into thinking he is the only back in the league. Bell will be a flop in any other system. Just wait and see. After next year he will only be able to look back to 2018 and wish he would have made an intelligent decision about his future and possibly appreciate what a little loyalty and common sense could have done for his future. Too late now. I'm quite positive Steelers have said to hell with em. Greed and arrogance controlled the narritive.

If he ends up with the Browns or Lions or some other awful team I assure you he won't give a crap if they win 2 games as long as he gets paid.

He looked like he was done last year too though.

I thought Gay looked bad in the slot, but I thought he did good as a second deep safety in the dime. In that role, he was better than No Play Mitchell, but I agree, the slot passed him by and fortunately, they started putting Sutton in there for him so he could drop back.
