No weaseling out. I wanted a PM, but you not going to provide me with a record. I'll just have to copy the pages Notice the bet is for the 2019 draft. If Ed stays in school you lose! If Oliver gets busted for drugs or hurts himself in the off season, tough luck. We are still on!
I remain confident as its been a few years since a DT was pick in the top ten. There are lots of good pass rusher in the draft, those guys will go first. Oliver can't even get sacks vs weak opposition. 5.5 for the season is the best he's done. I also think he's too small to play NT full time in the NFL.
Find any post where I have tried to "weasel out"....Once I accepted the bet, I have stood by it and not tried to change the rules.
Ed has already announced he is going to enter the draft after this season. Ed has no history of drug issues. He comes from a solid family and has a strong work ethic. He has stated many times that going to UH was a "business" opportunity for him. His whole reason for college was to get ready to go Pro. I will be very surprised if he blows that chance just to get high.
So no player has ever switched positions from college to the NFL? Also note, Ed is a true Junior. He has 44 tackles for loss in 2 years and 3 games....find me ANY player on the defensive line who can equal or top that....

Coach, you are the only person here complaining about the bet. That's not what people do when they make bets.

Why do you need a PM for a record? Your bet, the terms and Coolie’s acceptance was listed on the other thread, which I copied on this thread. That constitutes a “record” or documentation of the wager. No PM is required, unless you wanted out, or attempted modify the wager (which you obviously tried to do).

Where was Ed last Saturday? Didn't UH give up 63 points and 605 yards passing.
if you read the thread we already discussed this. Unfortunately for UH, they lost their starting safety on the first drive and being just a Group of 5 school, their backups are not up to par in a lot of cases. Tech did a ton of quick passes to the sidelines to get the ball out before Oliver and his buddies could get any real pressure on the QB. UH's corners missed a ton of tackles and a bunch of 2-3 yard passes ending up being 20-30 yard gains. In the second half the defense was gassed. UH runs a similar offense and did not keep the ball long enough for the D to get rested after chasing the receivers all day. Oliver missed a chunk of the 3rd quarter dealing with cramps but returned in the 4th. A weak secondary lost this game, not a lot Oliver could do. He still busted his ***, even down by two scores in the 4th, Tech ran a screen pass and Oliver turned from rushing the QB (he was only a step or two away when the ball was thrown) and ran up field to make the tackle from behind. He still has about 24 tackles and 5 TFLs through 3 games this season....
