Steelers vs. Tampa Bay

I said it a couple of days ago. The Head Coach gets ultimate responsibility for wins or losses. This loss, this terrible, gut wrenching, **** the bed, penalty riddled loss ultimately Tomlin's fault. The Defense played like crap. The Offense went turtle ball in the second half and when they weren't, they were playing not to lose .... **** THE BATTLE FOR FIELD POSSESSION ... PUT THE BALL IN THE ENDZONE and you don't have to worry about it. The sheer volume of penalties reflect on the undisciplined nature of this team.
I'm not totally in the Tomlin must go camp, but "obviously" as the play continues to be "below the line", the "needle is pointing in that direction".

True, but the offense didn't lose this game.

They had as much if not more in the loss than the D. They spotted Tampa 10 to start the game. That wasn't on the D. Then, they couldn't get a first down when they needed.it to ice the game. They need to understand they are a pass first team. We can run but not when we absolutely need to. They should have had Ben in the shot gun on that last series. Just pitiful. O, D, special teams and coaching.

I don't understand, every Steelers media member (print, TV, radio, website, blog) has said that Tomlin has final say (tie breaker if you will) over Colbert when it comes to drafting.
Are they misinformed?
Seems like to much of a coincidence that Colbert suddenly forgot how to draft when Tomlin took over.

I believe that this year's roster has the talent to get it done but there is a lack of fire in this team. Poor strategy and play calling on defense that may have been the difference in the last minute defensive stand to keep that lead.

And another thing...Mike Evans got hurt or Tampa would have scored at least one other TD earlier in the 4th Qtr

That is totally untrue the coaching staff is where it all starts. **** rolls down hill and poor team and field management equals poor team morale and play. If you have old or not so good players it just magnifies.

If we had won this game by 14, I would still be pissed. We should be beating teams like this by 25 points.

I don't get this thinking.

The Steelers are not a good team. Who was that QB for TB ? I have no idea , but he just beat the steelers . Next week , whoever the QB is , more than likely he will win.

This is AT BEST a 4 win team.

Poor discipline, none of them seem to know what to do on D , 20 penalties a game. Turnovers .

How is a team th those attributes suppose to beat people?

It's silly to be pissed. The Steeler owners DGAF, the coaches DGAF , and for damn sure the players don't mind being embarrassed.

When you realize they DGAF, it's a lot easier to understand why they lose

AS long as we have this inconsistency with the penalties, we're screwed.
