Steelers vs Seahags - Game Thread

more bs from the zebra's just to rub it in.

it's getting tougher to watch this crap.

Love the analysts trying to justify that. If it's not clear, they made that rule to call it incomplete. There have been so many plays from us and others with two steps and then hit the ground and have the ground cause the ball to come out and it's incomplete. There is no way you call that complete when the other guy comes up with the ball on the way through the actual catch.

A lot of non sense for sure. However, the biggest turning point was the second interception. Sherman clearly as plain as day yanked AB down. This wasn't a trip resulting in the pick, and then the penalty that shouldn't have been called on the next play after on Timmons.

even if we do make the playoffs our defense will make sure we are one and done.

Cover-2 coverage defense is garbage. Hate it.

Tomlin fakes a field goal with Landry Jones, but doesn't go for the win with a defense that can't stop a middle school team today. Awful.

Yep, that's it in a nutshell. But the play of Blake and the horrible officiating is probably going to take the heat off of the brilliant, none fear living, Coach Cool Shades. Another brilliant job. Hey Tomlin, if you don't live in your fears, then go for the god damned TD at the end of the ******* game, you clod.

Why in the hell did Tomlin take the field goal on 4th and goal?
the idea was to stop Seattle. get the ball back, kick the game winning FG...it DOES happen...they almost pulled it off, but they got Blaked.

Good first post, Steelin.

It made no sense. They run that stupid trick play, play aggressively the whole game, then quietly "lay down" for the FG when they need at TD.

If they miss, they leave Seattle with 95-plus yards to go.

That was exactly the problem. The defense showed very little in terms of stopping the pass and if the Seahawks were placed in a third-and-long situation, they were going to throw. In retrospect, he should have accepted the penalty on first down, lost some clock to make the conversion long. Little doubt they would have still run the ball and first and second, passed on third.

Blake's tackling on several plays lacked any effort what-so-ever.

Ok how many will admit they would of broken a blood vessel if we had brought Landry in cold for a fourth down and not kicked?

Exactly. When has this team stopped ANYONE on a 3rd and long with the game on the line?

The same people who said we should of kicked against the Ravens

Cover 2 Defense was good when teams only went 2 & 3 wide. Now with teams going 4 and 5 wide cover 2 is ancient history. Regardless with any solid Cover 2 defense you need a stud Safety ala Troy Polamalu or Ed Reed. Without that you've got nothing!

This is why I don't do the hindsight bullshit. Cause now everyone who said we should of punted against the Ravens are mad we didn't go for it today. All in hindsight

Exactly, it had its time and place if you had the right players but the game has changed a lot since its conception.
