Steelers vs roaring Lions preseason game thread

That punt was epic. We should have had the ball on the 40 at worst... wow!
 
Bears played earlier. Watched a bit and Artie Burns was getting lots of playing time. He made some plays. I guess he was injured and missed last year so things was first he played since the Steelers.

Running backs in the first round virtually never lead to super bowls no matter how great they are, unless tgey have exceptional olines… the smart play was to get a tackle there… maybe moore works out and their gamble pays off… but at least they got a gem in the second where id have taken a back… its never about first round backs having talent…tgey can individually be super talented , but The production of average rbs behind good or great lines is more than sufficient to win….

its why teams that invest first round picks in rbs rarely win super bowls anymore and you often see udfa guys having huge impacts…

Nobody thinks Harris is a bad player… he could be a star.. its just that its harder to find a later round player be an impact lineman and rbs have super short careers…

Yeah I really didn’t mind that pick… if his shoulder holds up he will be a star…

even if they start covering the heck out of him it opens stuff up

His mechanics are always off… most of our issues with drops were fixable with coaching….
 
I thought Ebron responded with a good catch. Rudy is looking pretty good. I saw Moore in there for Banner I imagine be will see significant time.
