I’d prefer not to crash and burn this year if we don’t have to. The question is, do we want a capable backup and a potential QB of the future, or two potential QBs of the future, neither of whom might be currently a capable backup? We don’t have to get rid of both rookies, only one. Pick the best one.

!I think Allar has the ingredients to be substantially better (it's that Ohio blood). I'd like to see McCarthy develop both of them. There's nothing wrong with having trade bait at the QB position.

Wouldn't be the first time Tomlin drafted a "soft" RB. Mendenhall anyone?

Mendy was a good RB.even above average......SB loss was on Johnson....or Tomlin for putting Johnson in that position.....2 free defenders running to Mendy.....Johnson as the FB...runs by both....doesn't try to chip either one. Both hit Mendy at the same time.....one high and one low.....he fumbles. Perhaps if Johnson attempted to block ONE of them....who know what the out come would have been.
