Steelers vs Carolina... good riddance to the preseason

I thought Dobbs had his usual inaccurate night, but i think I see dashes of improvement along the way. I thought overall a good showing.

Does he have Slash's fondness of Schenley Park?

always someone has to go there. But I bet yinz *** was cheering him on as slash..............

I think

Tucker
Allen
Ayers

will be three of the ten PS players...

Tomlin used his TO's the way they are supposed to be used. I think that is the first time I have seen it. Might be a new Coach thread. :)

That last drive was pretty damn good. Enjoyed watching Kordell Dobbs. Tucker gots some heart. Ayers might be the next Patriots superstar receiver.

I want Allen on the roster too much potential to risk. I go with Haden, Burns, Cockrell, Hilton, Sutton if healthy and Allen. Maybe Sensabaugh if you keep 7 which I doubt.

The Pats are loaded at WR even with the Edelman injury. Jets will take Ayers if we cut him.

I thought Tucker looked good and hope he gets a PS spot. I though Ayers looked good as a PR guy and But i hope Allen gets a 53 man spot he seemed to improve each game. The one guy i like was Hagen.

You're right, I did cheer for him as Slash. But as a QB he sucked and he cost me a lot of money in Vegas with his chokes. And he cried and she was a *****.

Ayers' cryptic tweet a little while ago - noted in the thread about him here - tells me something's up.

No one else on the roster (other than AB) has the ability to be a homerun threat on punt returns. That alone could earn him a spot on the 53.

(And never mind that he's more talented than Coates, Hunter or Heyward-Bey.)

you mean his "The disrespect is going to stop" tweet?

So what's he trying to say?

One person asked if he's pissed at Tomlin. But I don't really take it that way.

I think it was directed more at the media, and public, who assume he isn't going to make the 53.

That story on pennlive a couple of days ago implied the punt-return job is his unless he screws up tonight. Which he definitely didn't do.

Yeah, I think Justin took it that he was pissed...but I could see how it could be taken the other way also.....

We'll find out.

One way or another, I think I'm going to win my bet with Todd. He'll either make the 53, or be claimed on waivers.

He's too dynamic to be "hidden" on the practice squad anymore.

he made two guys flat out miss him and ran through an arm tackle before he broke it outside on that last one.....

"One person" eh? That was your leader.

Ayers was pissed off prior to the game when he learned he wasnt going to play until late. This paired with how he thought he was the #1 guy for PR's yet watched Sutton and Williams get tried before him... He's def pissed. You could tell by his body language on the field when he wasn't getting the ball when he came in.

Coolie?...

Two things helped his chances - referring to Ayers, not Coolie - tonight: The two ahead of him on the PR depth chart (such as it is) didn't help themselves.

Williams muffed his try (badly), and Sutton is now injured.

Good points, no doubt.

I did notice he had the hangdog thing going.

Not the kind of thing to enamor him to Tomlin.

It was me that asked if he was pissed at Tomlin

Well there yinz go. The root of your problem. Mixing gambling with the team you love.I would just bring bad luck to the Steelers, so I refrain.:becky:
