You owe us two sexy pictures now. Slacker.

What is JMM chili?

I need to make a beer run before game time. I am going as soon as my daughter moves her car. I expect those pics and a recipe when I get back or else I will have Coolie issue you a very sternly worded warning.

Beer run is done and no pics and no recipe.

@COOLIE I would appreciate your giving IronCity a very sternly worded warning.

JMM will be around soon and can explain. It’s his recipe that was given to me by I think Mr Vengance waaaaaaayyy back. It’s the ******* bomb! Best chili I’ve ever made and those that have state the same. It’s also his (our) good luck charm.

I look forward to see'in the secrets. I make some darn good chili myself. I love the stuff.

You still owe us girly pics. Don't think we didn't see how you tried to ignore that.

Didn’t the first two count?

You know he hates being called duck?

First I've heard that. Watched several sit-down interviews with him, seemed he was enjoying the whole Duck thing thoroughly.

Keep stacking them wins, Duck Hodges!

LOL it starts 2:30 am my time....gonna be a long night, hope it'll be worth staying up for. Go get 'em Steelers! :herewego:

From my tours in Europe and Afghanistan, I feel you. It was rough. It made me appreciate when the Steelers had a 1:00 game so that I could see it at 7 PM.

Yeah, my family's used to it, been this way for years. I do have the living room to myself, no distractions...so there are positives. I'm singularly focused on each and every snap, as Tomlin would say.

Not true, there are a ton of fans out here. Did you not catch the stands in the game last week?

Or the game in LA? Steelers fans dominate all over the country, including on the west coast.

Game in Arizona was insane.

Is this not the game of the year for us? Am I wrong?

I don't think I have the recipe on my computer any longer. Just make it from memory now. If anyone can find a copy, please forward it to Hoot (and me)

Been making the stuff since college days in the early 90s. Slow cooked in a crock pot and makes the whole house smell like,,,victory. :).

5 RBs active? Do they plan on running it a lot?:th_balls:

Ok, time for a 15 second testimonial.

We're sitting here at 8-5 on the cusp of the playoffs, in the middle of December.

I would have ate my shirt back a few months ago, after that 0-3 start and losing Ben, to think this team could win this many games.

It is a minor miracle, what we've seen these past few weeks. It almost seems natural, that we're winning games, with the likes of Duck Hodges, Benny Snell, BJ Finney, Tyson Alualu, Deon Cain, Diontae Johnson, Kerrith Whyte. But mainly, yeah it's been about Devlin 'Duck' Hodges, out of ******* Samford. Adding Minkah Fitzpatrick hasn't hurt either.

This team has come so far, it's been so improbable, yet it almost feels natural, like yeah, that's what we do. Next man up, et al.

I think it will take serious hindsight to truly appreciate what this squad has accomplished. Let's hope they don't **** the bed tonight, because this run has been simply incredible.

HD to dig up the email I saved with it. Again this came from MrV I think

JMM's Steeler Chili (this is how I make it)

Two cans Campbells Tomato Soup
One can Campbells Beef Consomme
One 12 oz can of tomato paste
3 lbs lean ground beef
Four green (red, or yellow) bell peppers
1/2 white onion
4 jalapeno peppers minced (seeds and all)
2 serrano chilis minced (seeds optional)
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
3 regular size cans Bush's chili beans

Start making this on Saturday afternoon if you plan to eat Sunday at gametime. You need a good size crockpot for this.

Chop the jalapenos and serranos. Mix the spices, chilis, tomato soup, tomato paste and consomme. Chop the bell peppers and onions into 1/2 squares and add to chili.

Break the ground beef into small pieces and add to chili. Mix it all up until you have what looks like a big pasty, chunky mass of goo. Turn the crockpot on low. Cook for 4 to 6 hours stirring occasionally. Try not to let it boil. Turn off the crockpot and let it sit overnight.

Couple of hours before gametime, strain the beans and add to chili. Turn the crockpot on low again to reheat. By halftime you've got monster, yummy chili. Best I've ever had much less made. Serve with sour cream, grated cheese, and whatever else you like with chili.

I like my chili greasy as hell, which is why I cook the ground beef in the chili. If you don't, brown the ground beef and drain the fat, prior to adding it.

This chili is great with eggs and in breakfast burritos.
