Do the steelers just throw darts at a board to pick a gameplan each week? It can't be because they studied their opponents. If that was the case, why would anybody endorse a gameplan against Brees where they blitz DBs from far away while leaving loose coverage on the slot?
It's insanity. Brees is one of the smartest QBs in the game and his greatest strength is quick rhythm passing.
If you asked Brees what defense he would hope to face, it would be them blitzing their DBs and allowing the slot guy to run free
