Yeah I'm not a Tomlin defender but having backups in the defensive backfield and someone blowing their assignment is his fault? How many times did Chad Scott do that under Cowher? I can't even begin to count.

HIs record is great, but you forget how many of those we were screaming exactly like this one as he played turtle ball and scared the **** out of us. Tomlin's record isn't shabby either and is one of the all-time greats in one score games.

Apparently you forget, the overwhelming majority of those games, once the Steelers were up by 10+, everyone in the stadium and watching at home absolutely knew the game was in the bag

Apparently, you don't remember many of those games as well as I do. We all said that and then all panicked as we let them chip away and chip away to where we needed an ending just like this one.

If there is anything to complain about with Tomlin it's him allowing his emotions and Rodgers to convince him to go for it on 4th. I thought we could get it, but the field goal would have been the true right call.

^^^^This^^^^ People have forgotten that or are too young and have a perception that is fogged with statistics and highlight reels. Who remembers the firecowher website that outlined all his many screw ups? It was a big list.

Still he was a great coach, but everyone is just human and make mistakes.

I would have kicked the FG....a 13 point lead vs a 10 is a huge difference with the amount of time left. We won in the end.

Yup ya lock that FG and make em score 2 TDs

That’s simple and changes the complexion of the last offensive possession too.

If up by 6 it makes it a lot easier to go for it on 4th and short and just try to end the game there rather than punting to gain 20 yards of field position because you have put your D in a situation where they are trying to prevent a FG. You can also still choose to punt for field position and just defend against the TD, but the FG would have been the smart play imo.

With today’s kickers being able to nail 70+ yarders it was just a fools play to not go up by 13…but the luck of the Irish shined in the fool today and the Steelers escaped with a win despite Mike’s mediocre efforts.
