Steelers training camp updates

https://Invalid Link - Check SN Home Page/2019/07/2019-steelers-training-camp-diary-day-three/

Detailed day 3 notes from Alex Kozora. Everything I read that had to do with Bud Dupree seemed lackluster.

It's Ola's time to shine.

Thanks for posting the link Steelworth, it's nice to read the flow of the article. It goes from starters to bottom depth and gives a pretty good accounting of all the inbetween. I like the one on ones

Shall I sare say it maybe Ola takes some of Chicks playing time away.............

Pretty accurate slash but I venture to say Dupree should keep an eye on him as well. Bud had a pretty decent day but OLA is making waves and we will see just how BIG those waves become. Not taking anything away from Dupree but OLA is better than we know and will develope into his potential / stregnth as time progresses. Nice problem to have in my eyes.

Salute the nation

Injuries

Safety Sean Davis left practice early with a finger injury. Tomlin said it might be dislocated. Kameron Kelly, who was signed in the spring after playing in the Alliance of American Football, replaced Davis on the first-team defense.

I don't wish injuries on anyone and hope Davis is back sooner rather than later. That said, Kelly is a guy that I wanted to see get a few reps. He has intriguing size and made a few plays in the AFL (or whatever it was called). I guess we will find out quick if he has what it takes to take a roster spot on the S depth chart. My bet is yes, but time will tell.

Tunch and Wolf are talking about Kelly right now, they said he's doing very well in the first couple practices, very good at getting his hands on the ball. They said he looks like a center field type S, fast and quick. He had 4 picks in 8 games in the AAF or whatever it was called.

coach probs popped a boner when reading this.

Cool Shades mentioned 5 players by name.

Ola, Burns, Snell, Bush and Kelly. We are desperate for a young S to step up. And it would help if Burns didn't remain hot garbage as well.

On a different note, the Patriots are still considered cheaters by 80%+ the NFL fan base. Except in Boston, where 90% still think they haven’t done anything wrong.
