Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Steelers running back Stevan Ridley has re-signed with Pittsburgh on a one-year deal. Ridley,*who started and spent most of his career in New England, played in 2 games last season with Pittsburgh. Steelers will draft a rb at some point in this draft. Ridley and Trousaint and Conner are not anything but very short term fill in type of players.

Solid signing, glad they're not just handing Fitz a roster spot again.

At 4.2 ypc the rush game gets a boost (with Ridley) over the wanna be 17M back's meager 4.0 ypc...at a much cheaper price.

Hard to say other than insurance value. Currently JAMES CONNOR is the BEST RB on our roster. If Bell signs and shows up playing with a little URGANCY, then he will supplant James CONNOR as the best RB on the roster. we will have to wait and see on the draft as for a replacement or upgrade RB.

Conner is better than you are giving hi m credit for....he is a solid 2nd RB

He didn't even last 70 touches, did he? Doesn't matter how good he is if he can't be on the field.

Connor played well the very few snaps he got. Hopefully he will be ready for camp and able to start in game 1. If Bell doesn't show up until game 1 like last year, there is no way he should get more than 50% of the snaps for the first 3 games until he gets into shape. Plus, that will piss him the **** off.

Conner was poor at blitz pickup. That is why he saw limited action..
