I know nothing matters until they take to the field of play. It is nice to see them acknowledged for their achievements so far.

I agree in that they have done a very good job to this point.

Have been able to make the draft more of a best player available, instead of a draft for needs (although we still have needs like most teams)

DK Sports Dailey Shot found an article with very detailed info on all 32 teams, we are at the top.

Very good listen

How do you think the Steelers did in an over-all grade.

Mine is a B+ with exception of QB (circumstances has cost them in this debacle)

Agreed, great post.

They’re in a good place to take bpa as long as Jones is healthy enough to compete with Cook at Tackle

At their current ages McCarthy and Rooney aren’t here for long time they’re here for a good time, I tend to lean towards the idea they have a QB plan and McCarthy at least knows what he’s doing at QB even though he has flaws as a coach

We all know this organization has swung missed badly on the roster tho, case in point filling out the WR room the past few seasons…

They filled actual needs with above average to very good players. Probably their smartest free agency period to date. Agreed we won’t know until the pads are on and it’s September, but as of now, I really like what they have done for the roster.

They have had a productive offseason to date and filled some holes.
Still need a LG and a talented young WR which should be addressed early in the draft.
LT is a huge question mark. Broderick Jones remains a question and Cook to me is just a stop gap player at this point.
Of course QB remains a mystery once again as we await the decision from Rogers. Personally I would just move on and pivot to Flacco or Cousins for a year and plan on drafting my QB next year.
The best thing that could happen to this franchise is to have a losing season and maybe win five games which positions you great for next year’s draft.

flacco re-signed already I think

B-

They have signed solid players, they have set themselves up for multiple options in the draft. But there is no way I can give an A or A+. For the umpteenth year in a row QB position not solved. #1 WR not solved. While obviously I don’t have an inside track on Jones health on his neck…..he is in an upcoming contract year. So LT is up in the air to me. So once again the top 3 offensive positions are big question marks. Obviously the draft will come into play. But those positions weren’t resolved in last year’s draft either. And from what I see,we will be going through this QB debacle again the next couple of seasons.

As the Mike McCarthy alumni reunion 2026 tour continues, look for the big splash trade for Dak during draft 2026 live from Pittsburgh. 😁😁
