For the fourth time Antonio Brown has been named the Steelers team MVP. Brown now is the only player to ever win the award more than three times. In 13 games plus two quarters, he has amassed 1533 yards on 101 receptions for 9 touchdowns. Key receptions from Ben Roethlisberger on game winning drives against […]

Well deserved! Damn fine season for one the best to ever lace them up !

If we had a must win game tomorrow would you rather have Ben and no AB or AB and no Ben?
Any team with a franchise QB, he's the mvp

agreed. we can win a lot of games without 84. he just makes it easier. without Ben? We would be like the Bengals. lots of talent but not a lot of wins

Without a doubt, Ben is the MVP of the team. Without him, this is a .500 team.

In all seriousness, I think Shazier is worth more to this team. We pass the ball just fine without Brown, but can not come close to replacing Shazier.

I’m with you here Tom. Ben is the MVP of this team and really the one player they absolutely must have each week to give them a chance. Without him their chances of winning dramatically decrease.
These are nothing more than popularity contests with the players thinking AB is the player deserving of this award which he’s a great player but he is not more valuable than the guy who makes this team go.

It’s a joke that Ben has only won this award once in 2009. When Ben retires these guys will see just how much of an MVP Ben was.

I still think he should be league MVP. He will probably still lead the league in yardage after not playing for 3 weeks...

Considering teams have to gameplan just to stop him alone speaks volumes about his impact.
Well deserving

AB is the best WR in the league. Yes we can pass the ball fine without Brown. We are absolutely without a doubt dangerously better with him out there. Go watch the end of the Rats game again for reference if you've already forgotten what he means to the offense. Or maybe the end of the Packers game as well.

Shazier was an anomaly for our defense. He got a lot of criticism here for over running plays and being out of position. His speed made up for that in a lot of ways and he was absolutely outstanding in coverage in the middle of the field. We don't have a substitute for what he was able to do in coverage out there.

Getting Haden back allows Hilton to go rover in the slot and match up man to man or blitz. We saw some of that last week and we will see more as we get into the playoffs. The key for this defense will be stopping the run. KC/Jax/Rats all run the ball very well. Jax and the Rats shredded our D. We were able to lock down KC but that was with Shazier.

Team MVP is Brown without doubt. Until he is back the focus is Ben and Bell and getting Bryant and Juju going.

I seriously opened this thread expecting to read Ben R. as team MVP. Oh well. Apparently opinions vary.

No BEN no home field or possibly playoffs. LOVE Antonio Brown as he is ABSOLUTELY the best WR in the league but you go nowhere with out Ben.

I hope Boswell got at least one sympathy vote. He single-handedly (er, with his foot) won multiple games for us this year. Came through in the clutch, time and time again. Kicked his way to the all time franchise record in made FG's. Chris Boswell, step right up, team MVP.

He definitely deserves all the accolades he's receiving this year. Bos is without doubt another Killer B

There is MERIT in your words but also remember it was BEN who orchestrated getting the ball in FG range for the BOZ to have the attempt.

I get what you are saying, but.....

If Ben goes down Landry may get us into position 10% of the time.

If Bos dislocated his kicking foot tripping over the chains to attempt the game winning fg, I'd say our chances of kicking it would be less than 1% with the other 52 on the roster.
