Looks like a poor Bell, nice hands and moves. He might be a plug n play weapon for the O

I really don't understand what Tomlin and Colbert are trying to accomplish with this draft class. You take two Safeties when you already signed a FA Safety. I can see taking one more and I do like James Washington but I really question not addressing other needs on Defense especially LBer and D-Line. If I had to give a draft grade I'd be hard pressed to give them anything better than a C-. They really blew this draft this year!

Sorry, but we don't have needs on D-line except for backup NT to take McCullers' job (but still be inactive every game).

You'll never convince me we don't need D-Line or LBer help after watching our run Defense get gashed year in, year out by teams running between the tackles against us.

Last year you had Bud and Tuitt both dealing with injuries. Not to mention losing Shazier. The year before, we lost Heyward to injury. Might have played a role in the run defense.

I like our draft. Only thing better is would have gotten a TE or perhaps a long snapper.

LeVeon Bell Jaylen Samuels

Bench: 24 18

40: 4.6 4.54

Vert 31.5 34.5

Broad 9'10" 10'01"

3 Cone 6.75 6.93

Shuttle 4.24 4.28

Not saying Samuels will be, or is in the same stratosphere as Lev Bell. But, their measurables coming out of college are pretty similar. Bell was obviously more productive in college as a runner. But, they've been talking about Samuels as a great receiving back too.

that 3 cone shiftiness shows JaySam might not be as elusive as Lev. But then again most RBs could lay that claim.

Looks like a good player to have. Can say goodbye to Ridley or Croissant.

my guess would be Croissant.

Although I think JaySlash takes Eli Rogers roster spot.............

Ridley is similar to Samuels...hard to say RB which goes.

Ridley is shorter, slower and older than Samuels. With 7 years of NFL mileage on the tires.
That said, Toussaint better not get too comfortable in his dorm room at Latrobe.

Yep, Samuels' skill set kinda obviates the need for Ridley.

And fumbled even when carrying Tommy Boy's deflated balls

Samuel will be there game 1 and ready to rock.... Bell? Who the hell knows maybe he will show up, maybe he won’t.

They may convert one of them or maybe they're not happy at all with both positions. Who knows.

This kid may be the steal of the draft!

Odds are he will be there before game 10................................

Still believe Tomlin and Colbert can't explain enough this draft. Tomlin can put all the polished words on this drafts he wants but more than not some of drafts don't quite make us a better team. Three safeties and not one MLB helps how?

They don't have to explain anything right now...to anyone. In 2 or 3 years, if for some reason, a majority of this year's picks don't pan out, then they'll need to explain something. Right now, nobody knows **** for certain. They certainly shouldn't feel the need to justify themselves to a bunch of armchair GM's whining that their own basement wall draft boards are far superior compared to the Steelers' brass.
