Steelers take Jackson III out to dinner and attend his pro day.

.

OK... How in the world does this "taking him to dinner" thing actually work? It seems that 6 or 8 team are taking some of these guys to dinner!! Is it like speed-dating?

It sounds like the only REAL interviews happen when we bring a player into Steelers HQ.

.

I don't know, but last year I saw about 10 players they were said to have taken to dinner. They drafted Dupree and Holliman (both were pre-draft visits as well).

I'll read everyone's remarks later...

THIS IS A GREAT SIGN of things possibly changing for the better in our secondary!!!

Maybe Blake was fast running a straight line but he had stiff hips, no quickness to change direction

He was the fastest to the sideline after getting burned for a TD.

The fire is starting to burn out of control:

Text from pro scout who was at #Houston pro day: "I bet Will Jackson ends up in Pittsburgh. They can't hide their love for him."

This is smelling like Darrelle Revis all over again.
We can't hide our crush, so our hearts will be broken again.

IT'S CALLED A POKER FACE!!!!!!!

He was on my list of guys Id hope we would get, but the second he ran a sub 4.4 forty I knew we'd never get him... he will go in the top 15 for certain. He is flying up the charts as we speak

Couple of guys I've been looking at in that 3-4th round range, who's names I haven't seen around here are Maurice Canady and DeAndre Houston-Carson. Both are FS/CB types, both have good height at 6-1. Canady runs a 4.4, Houston-Carson a tick slower at 4.5. If we miss out on Jackson III early, I wonder how the Steelers view these two guys. Same thing at safety, once the big names are gone, there are guys like TJ Green and KJ Dillon who may be around mid rounds. Been wondering about these mid range guys, thinking the Steelers may go DL & OLB/edge early. Plus we always seem to just barely miss on coveted DB's...

He didnt have the COD to play in the slot, Blake belonged in the bench until the 5th CB were needed on the field

Blake couldn't do anything right. I've seen him get beat down the sideline and then he would try to strip the ball, fall on his *** while the receiver was doing his TD dance.

Its a deep pool this year... a lot of years you'd see those 3rd rounders being propped up into the bottom 1st out of need... we can hope for a premium one to get to us and if he isn't there afford to go BPA and wait till the second
