The Pittsburgh Steelers and cornerback Cameron Sutton have come to terms on a two year deal:

The #Steelers are re-signing CB Cameron Sutton to a two-year, $9 million deal, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo.

The deal is for 2 years and $9M. This is the first unrestricted free agent from the roster the Steelers have signed back to the roster. We congratulate Cam on his new deal, and look forward to him staying in the black and gold for two more seasons.

Good move Kevin Colbert! Can we still get Mike Hilton?

**** yes, pardon my language. Probably 3M capt hit the first year

Great he will replace Haden hopefully layne shows improvement that he can eventually replace Nelson

they probably offered both of them the same offer.

Good deal. The structure should be interesting, but not a huge deal at just two years. Sets the team up nicely for an extension after next year if he plays well in an expanded role.

I thought Juju was a casualty due to price combined with a good group of WRs overall on the roster. I saw Bud as simply outperforming what they would offer for a second pass rusher. Which left me thinking out of all the obtainable players Sutton should be priority. Looks like someone shared that thought process. Good job Steelers.

Step one completed. Sign Banner or Feiler, and Alalalu. Look for tier 2 IOL and LB after the crazy clubs spend their cap room.

And free up some more space!

Exactly... juju is Hines ward lite, and id love to get him back, but Washington makes him expendable.... under older free agency templates Juju would have been here a long time, but this latest is very unfriendly to teams that draft and develop guys...

Dupree was still a speed edge rusher playing across from a legitimate monster lb legend in the making... there was no chance he was ever signing for big time lb money here...

Cam, Hilton, and Alualu were the guys to target

Sutton was the important signing in the secondary. Hilton will test the market and probably leave. He has been counting down the days. If they keep Haden and Nelson, Sutton was definitely the better signing between he and Hilton.

Very pleased with this move. I'd be tempted to see how Haden looked inside on passing downs and Sutton outside.
