I'd say he'd be a long term backup and/or safety net if Bell doesn't get his act together, but not like he's doing well in that area either. Having his brother in the locker room could be positive influence, and as far as him being overweight, no one better to workout with then Harrison, Brown, his own brother, and even Bell who lost the weight the Steelers asked him to. Could be the Bell and Blount combo we were looking for previously. This showed last year he is talented, all about getting him in the right direction, and having his brother could do that.
 
He's a very young 6-1, 230 lb bull

7 TD's in 11 games as a rookie last year, worth a chance

Ok, would stay out of trouble be better? Not put himself in situations to get himself suspended? I certainly wasn't saying I think Bell is some trouble maker, but he hasn't put himself in good situations, but then again Karlos Williams is starting down that path as well.

I'd do it. Let Vince keep his brother in line then reap the rewards. DeAngelo isn't getting younger and I'd rather have this guy than Toussaint or Richardson.

I'm not convinced Bell can pass his next NFL drug test. This would be insurance.
 
He wasnt used properly, would look good in black and gold

But wait I was told the Steelers care about weed?? They are looking into insurance for Bell by kicking the tires on Williams who is suspended for weed.. yet I'm supposed to work myself into a tizzy about these guys off field shenanigans. And a certain poster who thinks Bell should be traded or not resigned is cosigning this. My head hurts. Hopefully if signed Williams brother can keep him on the straight and narrow.
 
Looks like a short yardage back option. I'm all for that style of player!
 
I think it's an upgrade to what we have at current value. As for keeping him in line, it's NOT someone else's JOB to monitor said person. Can his brother / Harrison / steelers / influence his decision making, HELL YEA they can. Bring him in and spin the treads to see what he has got.

This kid is a wrecking ball with lots of upside and talent. The Steelers most likely feel as though Vince can keep his head on straight which would really pay off for both Karlos and the Steelers. Man, what a great threesome at RB with Bell, Karlos and DeAngelo. I'd bring him in in a minute.
 
As a 3rd string back, sure why not. He's better than Toussaint. He's also got a 4 game suspension to serve. Let him serve his suspension then bring him in so we have some depth.

where did he lie? you're basing your opinion off rumors. we still don't know 100% what happened with his suspension.
I could start a rumor that Coach is a lumberjack manly man who drinks pure grain alcohol through a straw, ***** fire and spits venom. doesn't change the fact that you wear a ballerina tutu when you post online, does it?
 
I thought he was suspended for DUI (was it weed related)?

Also heard the kid checked into camp pushing 270 lbs.

Not sure what the heck we're thinking here, he doesn't seem to have it together above the neck and his arrow is definitely pointed in the wrong direction. Maybe Vince took a low ball deal with a hand shake agreement to give his bro a look???

Shame here cause he was looking good last year.
 
He's suspended so you don't have to act immediately. I'd have him in for a visit and weigh him then tell him to come back in 2 weeks and if he dropped 10 lbs I'd sign him.
 
Maybe they figure between Williams and Bell we might get a total of 16 games out of the two
