The Pittsburgh Steelers' front office knew it had some key holes to address in the offseason. One glaring spot was wide receiver depth. The Black and Gold made a big splash in 2025 when they traded for star wideout DK Metcalf, and while his first season with the team had its ups and downs, he did lack some complementary pieces. As a consequence, the Steelers brass made a trade for Michael Pittman Jr. this offseason. A low-risk, high-reward type of trade saw the Steelers swap late-round picks with the Indianapolis Colts to get Pittman, and then he signed an extension with Pittsburgh (three years, $59 million).
