Steelers select CB Senquez Golson

No, I'm not sold on Bryant....Yet.

Play this season like he did last year, then yes.

I think it is fair to say Wheaton is a big question mark.

And Strong IMO would have brought better value.

Gregory it is said missed a draft meeting and was late for another besides lying about his blunt usage. I think the Steelers simply didn't want the hassle of having to assign someone to watch him............

Please provide a newslink to this article. This is classic character assassination by a hungry media looking to blow any story outta proportion. I'm not happy he's a Cowboy but at least he's not in our division. I hope he goes on to become the heart and soul of that Cowboys Defense just to ******* stick it up every other mother ******* reporters ********! Anything you see or read in the media is only half truth! REMEMBER THAT!

I'll say this about Gregory: He has good taste in clothes.

And he handled well Melissa Starks' (suprisingly) pointed questions about his baggage.

I would have taken him.

NFL Network mentioned it while I was watching their draft broadcast...........

It does give me some comfort to hear Vader pimp a guy with the same size measurables as Dri Archer.

Honestly, I don't know if we drafted him to start. With Gay and Cortez on the outside, I'd be happy to have him in the slot. We mostly play nickel anyway.

One thing I really liked about him is he appears to be a willing and aggressive tackler. One thing I hate about him, is after the INT he holds the ball like a QB looking to pass. That needs corrected immediately!!!

We drafted a damn midget CB in the 2nd round. Jump balls to AJ Green going wholesale during the season.
You had to know Baltiwhore wasn't going to let that TE fall to us.

That is probably the least of this kids issues....But h, on the bright side....Looks like he is a good outfielder...

We could have just passed on this pick if this was the best player on our board.

Honestly, this is Troy Edwards part II.

I think it's quite a reach to say this is "Trou Edwards part II." With Edwards being the 11th pick and Golson being the 56th, I don't see the comparison. You wanna say Ricardo colclough part II, go for it. This is far from Troy Edwards though.

Just glad Baltimore saved us from drafting a fricken tight end. We need defensive playmakers! Golson will contribute right away, and make big splash plays. He is a better choice than a tight end who would ride the pine, and get 2 touches a month. They will still draft a tall CB, but chances are he will be a project, with potential to be a starter. Golson isn't intended to be starter, just a playmaker in a pass happy league.

Let them take Williams. Dude was the best TE of a bad bunch. Also, I'm pretty sure I read that during pre-draft interviews that he was incredibly cocky and also referred to himself in the 3rd person at times. I believe the scout called him Jeremy shockey without the talent.

Again, it is the same principle. He does not have the skills to do well in the NFL. As a 4th rounder, fine.

He has ZERO, and I mean ZERO percent chance of being an impact NFL player.

ZERO, NONE, ZERO. Could have just passed on the pick and it would have not many any difference.

Also when I played QB, it was always the short midgets who picked me off cause I couldn't see them! Look for this kid to contribute in ways previous 2nd and 3rd round picks haven't in years past!

here is my biggest concern.........his competition is still not on the roster

Are you Gregory's dad? PR rep?

I just don't understand the venom. I know he is undersized, I get that. But from reports the guy is a competitor and he actually picks the ball off. Hell, he has more picks than about 5 of the bigger guys some of you want combined. I just don't understand it. The Steelers don't get turnovers, yet some of you want to draft guys who don't get turnovers. Just because they fit some size ratio you think is important?

Dang...was kinda hopin that Lockett might fall to us

Can I have this weeks lottery numbers please

Im not worried about size...can he ball ? if he can then im happy with the pick...does he play with intensity..does he battle for a full game....? Darrell Green was the same height as this kid....he held his own

While I agree that I would've felt better about him if this was a 3rd rounder, odds are thag he doesn't make it there. Also, how can you so confidently say that? He has zero chance? Really? The kid is also a ball hawk. So, again, how does he not possess any skills to be a player? I don't quite get your argument. Your second line here makes it sound like you'd be just fine if he was chosen later. Then in the very next breath, you state how he has absolutely no chance to be a player in this league. Why draft him at all then? Why waste even a 4th rounder on him if that's your true assessment of him as a player?

for me it is value matched with need

I think our biggest need was a outside corner unless Blake gets a stab at that gig.....

Green was a blazer and a coverage corner not a fair comparison
