There's some solid interest between Logan Ryan and the Steelers, per sources.

Make it happen !

oops see it in the stickied thread, my bad.

Yinz can delete this if you wish.

But with the Pats going in another direction he looks prime for the picking.

If he comes cheap enough otherwise I see no deal with him. I would much rather see them sign Ryan than the ******* Kirkpatrick. Would be shocked if we signed either of them, though.

Aditi K. said on Twitter that we prefer Dre. I do as well.

Both are good options - Dre Kirkpatrick is a Bama boy so I like him(he's and outside CB all the way) and Logan is solid and can a cover slot WR's...

Read we are prob out on Dre. I don't feel Ryan is a starter. Let someone else sign him and we can look at guys like Prince who will be cheaper or draft someone.

You would rather have Amukamara over Ryan?
Interesting...

Prince would be much cheaper and a solid stopgap while we draft someone.

Hey, what about that Adam Jones guy?

I understand he may be lookin' for a team.

Character all the way!

and doesn't have the stench of the *'s on him. Let me guess, in December Ryan throws a fit about not playing, walks off during a game, gets cut, and ends up back at the *'s. No thanks.

I like prince buy he is injury prone

yep silly to want our team to actually get off their *** be aggressive and upgrade a weakness with Ben's window shrinking quickly.

well that's a ton of money that the Steelers don't really have and can't spend, can't blame them because they were inquiring but the truth is that there are too many teams with ridiculous amount of available cap room making decent players as rich as superstars

oh I can blame them.

You get more aggressive with restructuring and sign Bell quickly, freeing up money.

Get rid of dead weight (Gay and that CB that has been hurt since we drafted him), then you are sitting pretty enough to snag one early.

Truth is the Steelers should have been one of those teams, but take this "Steeler way" approach that for a while now has them coming up short year after year after year.

It is still a dream thinking we might actually be a player in the FA market. We will trot out the exact same defense next year with a couple of new bottom tier CB FA''s that we signed. Status quo. Mind boggling actual....that our front office and ownership signs off on this EVERY year. Just plain mind boggling.

Not sure why they can't see that a few significant signs could get them over that hump and quickly fix weaknesses.

Building thru the draft is nice for a team that has plenty of time. But they really don't have that luxury with Ben anymore.

what if Bell wants 14M per season? you don't know how the negotiations went so can't really blame them for not getting a deal done
Golson and Gay's cap savings if cut are cents, so where will the money come from?

I think you are being passionate and not rational about the situation.

That's flawed thinking, I think. There is no easy fix for this defense. One CB won't save them.

The front 7 still has no pass rush besides Debo. They need a true monster stud at NT like Casey Hampton to fix that, the whole 3-4 is predicated on that. These spindly legged light-assed LB's they keep drafting will still be swatted to the ground like flies with the weak DL like we have.

Offenses will still have all day to throw, like they do now.

Forget fixing this defense, go ALL OFFENSE for Ben's final years, it's the ONLY way we'll score those 35+ points a game needed to win in the playoffs.

I disagree slightly here. If Tuitt/Heyward/ and Hargrave are all healthy, we don't have many problems reaching the QB. Problem is, they were all not healthy at the same time much last season.
