Steelers release quarterback Bruce Gradkowski

Bye bye Bruce, we hardly knew ye. He's a yinzer too huh? Represent player

Who's going to keep Golson company now on the IR?

Bruce was a good back up and a good guy to have much like Charlie Batch, but eventually their bodies break down and they just can not fulfill their role with the team anymore. Best of luck to Bruce.

Now we have more cap room. Good guy but no longer able to contribute. Good luck in the REAL world.

My thoughts too. Maybe he can join Batch. A couple of QB's providing insight

Dude ends up on IR twice from practice. We talking 'bout practice. Practice!

Additionally, Bruce will pick-up an ~11 year NFL pension. If indeed his modified years of service sum total equals 11, Bruce will enjoy $470/per month per service year equaling ~$5170/month starting at age 55. Good for him.

He was never used properly.

It is my understanding his injury was to his throwing arm, soft tissue type that ruins the ability to throw. Those things do not need an impact to happen. Some injuries happen as the body wears down no matter where they happen they are injuries. I have heard of golfers getting injured so practice or game it makes no difference a throw is a throw.
