Steelers Ravens Moves To Tuesday Night

10 days is the normal league quarantine time, so normally all Ravens players testing positive this week would not be eligible to play. But league commissioner Harbaugh and his sidekick Goodell have been known to make special Ravens exemptions.

This seems to be the best solution. A Week 18 game was the last thing I wanted to see because that significantly impacts the competitive balance of the league entering the playoffs. Not sure why the Ravens get an extra day with next week's game moved to Monday and the Steelers remains on Sunday. Was that ever explained by the NFL?

That’s the one question I walk away from this with. I understand the other decisions. Seems like they could (and should) have scheduled them both for the following Sunday.

So if I understand correctly:

Steelers Ravens now Tuesday.
Steelers Redskins still stays Sunday.
Ravens Cowboys on Sunday? Nooooooo....Monday.

So the Rats now get an extra day after playing us. I get it is one less to prep for their game after Cowboys, but which is the more difficult game. I'd bet dimes to dollars that Rats prefere the extra recovery day after playing us and the extra day to get close contacts back. The NFL putting the Ravens-Cowboys game next Monday makes zero ******* sense.

So this is complete BS by the league. They moved the game to Tuesday based upon input from the NFLs “medical experts” on protecting the players and coaching personnel. Based upon that they then provide an extra day for Balt on their next game, but not Pittsburgh? So why doesn’t Pitt get the extra day? If it’s because Balt has more players on COVID, that’s not what Goodell’s memo to all teams said. It stated teams contributing to the rescheduling of games DUE to not following protocol will be disciplined. How is this being disciplined, unless they drop the hammer at a later date? In any case, Pitt gets short changed on principle. They haven’t caused one issue with the league’s COVID protocol, but they sure have been impacted by it more than any other team.

NOTE: next weekend the NFL starts their Saturday games.....why isn’t the rescheduling using that day?

The reason the NFL moved the Ravens game to Monday is probably related to the fact that it had been a primetime Thursday night game to begin with. And they don't have to change the Steelers/Football Team game from Sunday to Monday, so why would they?

So the Steelers have almost the same amount of time between games as they originally did:

Sunday at 1pm to Thursday at 8pm = 4 days and 7 hours.
Tuesday at 8pm to Sunday at 1pm = 4 days and 17 hours.

What's the big ******* deal? Put the tissues away.

The first thing Coach Tomlin will say to those "pissed off" STEELERS players is this "what part of this can you control ?" The players to date have been only worried about things they can control and this isn't one of them. Coach Tomlin will reel these guys back in and all will move forward. SortA like being in the "hot" kitchen making popcorn, when it's all done you step out and enjoy it.

Um, we have 3 positive and need to see if our house has an outbreak now.
 
So based on the link in hoots well spaced post. The Steelers who were on a short week, lose Thursday most likely because the game canceled, Tomlin probably have day off for families. Game moved to Tuesday, bit Steelers can't use those days at facility for walk throughs or anything.

Ravens will still be without all 3 Running Backs (Jackson, Ingram, and Dobbins), starting and back up centers, DL Williams and Campbell. None can play vs Steelers but all will be Eligible with negative tests on Monday vs Cowboys

I also believe the reason why their game was moved to Monday night was because they were already set up as a nationally televised game. From what I read that has something to do with television rights.

Also, to be honest one extra day losing against the Washington team in a Covid environment is not that big of a loss. Just win the next two games and move back to your normal scheduling!

Honestly I'm not so sure the guys calling for a forfeit were entirely serious. Like a lot of people they are stressed out over this whole Covid thing and a little pissed that the ONE thing they could look forward to this year is on the brink of going away too. It's frustrating, and some people handle that differently.
