That would mean it took a full 7 days to come back as a positive after close contact with an infected rat. That is not good news for anyone.

From what I heard on NFL Radio's Doc Chow, the gestation period is 7-12 days. However, on field transmission is considered very low risk. I am sure it will be impossible know for sure but contact tracing will provide some light onto it to the team, NFL and docs. I doubt they will make any of it public beyond placing a player on Covid-IR list. HIPPA will certainly limit info that can be released.
