The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to be one of the more fascinating teams to follow throughout training camp and heading into the 2026 regular season. The franchise and General Manager Omar Khan are trying to balance an attempt at being a legitimate contender in 2026, while also developing key positions on the team for the future. One of those areas of focus is of course the quarterback position. Aaron Rodgers arguably gives the team the best chance to win now, while Head Coach Mike McCarthy is focusing on building up both Will Howard and Drew Allar to potentially be the starting quarterback in Pittsburgh during the 2027 season.
