The Pittsburgh Steelers' fan base has been fed up with the lack of playoff success over the last decade and counting. The Steelers’ last playoff win came in the 2016 season, and now they head into the 2026 season with a new leader in Mike McCarthy. Mike Tomlin elected to walk away after the 2025 season and decided he didn’t have what it takes anymore to end this playoff drought. Tomlin gave it everything he had, but he felt it was in the best interest of the franchise to pass the torch to someone else to try and solve the playoff drought.
