The Pittsburgh Steelers have not been able to figure out the quarterback position since Ben Roethlisberger retired after the 2021 campaign. This much is very clear to fans, and the organization had an opportunity to sign a promising 26-year-old in Justin Fields to run the offense for at least the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The front office failed to do so as the dynamic signal-caller has reportedly agreed to play for the New York Jets. At some point, the franchise has to find someone who can start for the next 10 or more years. That isn't likely to happen in 2025, but it could in 2026.

Justin……..this is the message I get whenever I want to read an article. Been happening for a while now. Even going to the homepage directly to the article doesn’t work the way it used to. I believe this has happened to others as well. Cheers

A backup level LT making what? Wow.

Yep happened to me as well

@Steelerfan81 come on, brother. we can do better than this.

Takes two to tango
Merely having extra capital doesn’t create a trade partner, no guarantees of that.

And zero guarantees next year’s
Class is much better than this one.

Leave it to the Steelers to amass capital,
Move up for someone who is just ok like Allar and then have Mike screw him up taboot.

I’ll believe the QB riddle has been solved when we have both a talented young QB and a
Coach with the capacity to develop said talent.

We’re at least 3 years away from that scenario playing out as it stands today

Just because you have value on paper doesn’t mean you automatically get to swap those picks, you have to get the #4 pick to trade with you. They may need a player also, so they won’t trade.

These articles are nothing more than wild conjecture and wishfully dreaming.

"Promising" and Fields....no. Stop it, please. What is promising about a dude who makes one read, runs when he doesn't need to if he would just see the open guy...but that's his problem: he can't read the field well or defenses. Wow...who writes this stuff?

And if we miss like we did with Kenny, that is 4 wasted years minimum. Unless you double up and add more than one QB like the 9ers did.

Thank you. Go back and look at 2025 mock drafts from before the 2024 college season — Beck #1 overall in some, Ewers high to mid first round in most. This happens almost every year, a lot changes in college football on a yearly basis.

I don’t know why people think Manning is coming out, either, he’s 19 with 2 starts under his belt and will get a bag from Texas to return in 2026.

After him, who is the top prospect? Allar? Lolz.

5 years ago, I planted way heavier than normal in anticipation that Coach Kool Shades would be gone and we’d be in the midst of a SB era…………..

Now instead of the celebration anticipated use-age, the vast crop will be used more in calming and keeping many away from the bridges……

Because this year's options are not great, who does everyone like in 2026? I'm interested hearing some names beyond Manning. Who knows which QBs will enter the draft.

Arch Manning, Texas
Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee
Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina
Drew Allar, Penn State
Carson Beck, Miami
Jackson Arnold, Auburn

There will be good QBs in this year’s crop

Just gotta poke around

As for next year I’m not so sure Arch comes out
Nico is interesting (see more good than bad)
Beck has something to prove in MIA (unimpressive last season at GA preInjury)
Definitely not sold on Allar (he’s ok-not special)
Sellers another guy that is interesting

Haven’t seen enough of Arnold to comment, rarely watch OK but he does have a history of being highly rated at every level so far

Most QB crops are very similar in talent, more dependent on fit than anything. Once in a blue moon ya get a Manning/Rivers/Roethlisberger crop and every now and then (also rare) a KFP crop.

I predict a decade from now nobody remembers the difference in talent level of these 2 classes

But quite possibly many will still be laughing our QB debacle……………

The reason I have been advocating towards waiting until next year, isn't so much the quality of the QB class, but the more likelihood of us drafting higher than 21. However, if they reach for a QB this year, and we draft high next year, the chances of us taking a QB again next year aren't great.

Art will want to "stick with" whoever we got.

Are we forgetting Art's publicly held position on Kenny before all hell broke loose: We think Kenny is doing fine.

I've been weird errors when trying to open our articles since Sunday...
Ah I wish you would've text me.

We updated the site last week. Looks like it's not putting the correct link in there. I thought it was working fine since they still posted.

Ill get the first part fixed. Working on it now. Did a complete site upgrade last week and basically had to re-do everything.

As for going directly to the home page. That should all be the same. What are you talking about more specifically?
