Steelers new OC hire.

And I don't think Rodgers being back is a given in any way shape or form because if he's still going to throw everything short and not want to get hit then it's so limiting to what you can do that it might be worth taking a punt on someone else (Kyler Murray..?).

Damn straight it’s very limiting. Hard to watch. It’s actually just kinda pathetic to watch.

Crippling the entire offense with Aaron’s presence in what should be a building block year would just be another throw away season and an abysmal start to McCarthy’s stewardship

So far the coaching staff hasnt been expanded. They're still officially missing a TE and OLB coach. They also had an Offensive Assistant and Defensive Quality Control unfilled. However, they are likely spending more because of the addition of Cignetti as Senior Offensive Assistant (and improved title over the offensive assistant from last year) and Whitt listed as Secondary/Assistant Head Coach.
The Texas Tech guy Ah You looked promising for the OLB coach, I haven't heard any updates though.

Anyone else think this has been the worst year for misinfo? Couple times this year, it was -- he's hired, he's not hired, he's hired. I must be looking at the wrong sites.

My question is is why did they keep their inside linebacker coach, of all the coaches on that staff they kept the guy who’s positional players were horrible last year…

He has ties to McCarthy
Oh yes… they owned it isn’t what you know it’s who you know situation right?

They really need to upgrade at that inside linebacker positions through the draft or maybe even better free agent signing. I would be in favor of Milano or Nakobe Dean signing..or both!
I don’t know if I have ever seen the Steelers with worst run defense, especially in the middle of the field as I’ve seen in the past couple years.
It’s quite embarrassing, actually.

Try something different than porno sights (I know Coolie’s suggestions), this sight right here will get you the truth

STEELERNATION.com

Best sight around for anything Steelers.

Salute the nation

They would both look better with a real NT in front of them. Queen didn't just forget how to play when he came from Baltimore. They kept him clean...

Yep..
Hunter might be gone but McDonald from Ohio st or McClennan from Missouri would be a nice fit.:
The Missouri kid is kind if flying under the radar but I believe he is going to a good NT ..
Btw.. don’t forget Queen had a pretty good ILB playing right next to him also..

Im not sure why anyone would take a job as a coordinator where they dont get to call their own plays. Almost as bad as a GM who doesnt pick his own players. How can you be taken seriously when applying for a more advanced or even another lateral position?

thanks. As most as it takes as most as takes a job as a GM who doesnt pick his own players. How can you be taken seriously when applying for a more advanced or even another lateral position.

Wow this was an effort. Many years in school just to replicate that sentence.

The position coaches as a whole have maybe been better than we think, with the issues perhaps being more with Tomlin and the systems on both sides of the ball.

Everyone wanted Pat Meyer gone, including myself, but the Bills hired him almost as fast as they could, while having the health/protection of Josh Allen to consider.

The Steelers secondary play has been bad for years, but Gerald Alexander was quickly hired by the Vikings.

Who does that?

Everybody in this position hires guys he knows.
Exactly, i’m gonna hire somebody I know 100% of the time if I knew they can do the job versus somebody I don’t know and I “think” they can do the job.

You also want to hire people they can follow the direction that you want to lead the team in and you don’t want people who have their own agendas to further their career

The guy can’t even fill out “his” staff without people whining already.

I never understood why Butler took the DC job under Tomlin.

I will hold/save my whining for the up coming season if we don't throw over the middle...or if we continue to run out our 2 DL defensive formation at the goal line.🤪
