Oh and btw I'm sure some people.are gonna freak with the Antonio Brown Mention here but in his 6 year prime he had 686 receptions, 9,145 yards, and 67 tds in 92 games. That is literally insane but prime Antonio who are you going to take instead that isn't on this list? Fitz? TO? What a nut job he's become but the more I think about his prime the more I think he should be considered one of the all time greats. And he was an all pro return man too.

Look at some of the best receivers ever:

Calvin 6ft5 237
Jerry 6ft2 200
Moss 6ft4 210.
TO 6ft3 213
Fitz 6ft3. 218
Julio 6ft 3. 220

Antonio did that at 5ft10 185......best small receiver to ever play the game in my opinion but you guys can freak at that if you wish. Try focusing on your Rushmore not the one thing that irks you =)

Well, if we’re going to include someone even though there’s “one thing that irks you,” about that individual, Ron Goldman wants to know why O.J. isn’t included with the running backs.

I'm sure Mr. Goldman would put OJ on Mt Killmore along with Ray Carruth, Anthony Smith, and Aaron Hernandez

I think i go

Mean Joe
Jack Lambert
Mel
Ben

NFL
Rice
Taylor
Manning

No way I put a cheater on there.
10 years from now maybe replace manning with mchomes but I hope not
I don't like Marcia but I respect his career. He was as clutch as clutch can be in the playoffs. Most important position and won 7 SBs and he personified intensity and winning. It's hard to leave him off.

I also can't put Ben over Troy. I realize he's the best QB to ever put on the black and gold but the difference between Troy and Ben is Troy is one of the very best at saftey ever and played in a way no saftey ever played. Ben is a first ballot HOFer but there are a lot more QBs ahead of him than safties ahead of Troy......thats at least my reasoning

Try focusing on your Mt Rushmore and not what irks you.

I love Troy obviously.
But 18 years of knowing you are in the game because HOF QB Big Ben is playing trumps Troy

To each his own and Ben was awesome and it's a fair point but I'm picking the very best for the most part hence Troy > Ben. That said I had Ham over Lambert originally but then changed it because of Lamberts snarl over Hams quiet professional demeanor so I contradicted myself because I believe Ham was the better linebacker.......your list is your list. It aint mine
I know. Yours has a cheater on it

Thats my MT Rushmore. I won't have a know cheater on it.

He can be on yours

Add in the rayray knife, he made both the good one and the Goldman one………….

The Steelers have a H-U-G-E problem with Mt. Rushmore type list(s).

We can arguably fill multiple ones for both offense and defense, yet alone cut it down to a simple 4.

Maybe position X position would be more fair to the Steelers players…..

Proudest Franchise in the history of the NFL.

More Steelers players per team than any other team being held out of the HOF due to to many already being in.

Mt Cheatmore

Bellicheat, Marcia, Robert Love You Long Time, and Vrabel?

Lol

Rocky Belboa center ring mic “ with out you, none of this would be possible…. Yoh Ernie, we did it”

A Steeler Mt. Rushmore not possible if you include every era. Way too many great players that deserve to be there.

The best way would be to emulate the Presidential Mt. Rushmore. They represent the nation’s founding, expansion, development, and preservation.

“The Chief “ Art Rooney, Joe Greene, Mike Webster, Chuck Noll.

These four represent the founding of this great franchise, the face that represents a great defense, the face that represents a great offense, and the franchises development.

To suggest an NFL Mt. Rushmore is even more absurd.

Did you mention every player in the league? 😁

Anyone that doesn’t put Mel on their Rushmore and doesn’t mention James ******* Harrison deserves a ladder a hammer a chisel, daily rations of beans and moldy bread and 5 years to carve their likeness in. Or it’s the lion pit for you.
Edit……not even mentioning Earl Campbell gives you half rations.

Its a f-ing challenge to name four......thats part of the point.

Lots of great runners........and I loved Earl but he ain't Jim F-ing Brown, Payton, or Sanders - those 3 were generational. I also can't give an Honorable to Campbell over guys like Smith or Dickerson......I get mocked for my long winded posts as it is......I gotta stop somewhere =) with my list

Well you could defintely have an offensive and defensive Mt Rushmore for the Steelers to spread the honors a bit.

It all depends on what you think Mt Rushmore is supposed to represent. That's gonna mean something different to various fans. I think in terms of where did they rank amongst their contemporaries at their position and where do they rank all time......the higher they are on those 2 lists the more deserving of being chiseled. But that's just how I define it....to each his own.

For the Steelersmore......Mel is certainly a great option......I think Mean Joe is on just about everyone's list. Blount, Polamalu, Woodson, Lambert, Ham are gonna fill in the rest of most people's lists on the defensive side of the ball. No bad choice amongst those guys

Harrison is one of my top 3 fav Steelers all time.......if I had a Meanmore then Harrison would no doubt be chisled in along with Greene, Lambert and Blount or Lloyd. I loved James as a player and personality, but he was not generational like Troy was. Troy was one of a kind

You could have a Mt Stabmore

OJ, Ray Ray, Michael Irvin (with the scissors), and Mark Sanchez just because he's such an idiot for getting stabbed five times by a truck driver that hes deserving to be on Stabmore
