I think Barron was brought in much the same way Morgan Burnett was last year. They didn't know what they would get in the draft and they had a hole on the defense. Had they not got Bush or Edmund's last year they got a big problem. So he is an insurance policy. I hope they can use Baron better than Burnett last year. There has to be a role for a bigger guy that can run and cover.

I sure hope so. Burnett was a waste of time. Bush may cure a lot of ailments. He has to.

Burnett had injuries to contend with but I hear what you are saying Sask. They'll get them dialed in and like some here have said, Bince will be the one losing snaps later in the season. I don't see cool shades changing "D" philosophy so Bince will be needed durring the 2DL sets.

Tomlin loves to leave 4 LBs on the field on passing downs, so you could pull Williams off on passing downs, and use Bush as the ILB and Barron becomes the S/ILB hybrid player because it's very doubtful if it's 2nd or 3rd and long that the offense will trot out a big personnel package. And he provides depth with speed.

Worse case would be depth but I think Bince plays less & less as BUSH gets up to speed.
