Steelers missed curfew Per Mark Madden

You mean "no one should" right? Because they definitely do. And, if true, more example of a team that is not run tight enough. Hoody, Tuna, Johnson don't allow for this. Period.

LOL....Sure......if you say so.

Didn't the captain of the team just ***** to the media that the coach practices are too physical too hard too tough on the players. But now because Dumbasses decided to stay out late the coach is too soft on them. Expecting grown men to be professional is not too much to ask.

I'd really like to know who was partying in Miami.

Judging by level of play, I'd say all of them.

I'm honestly tired of reading/hearing about this unprofessional stuff with this franchise.

This goes well beyond Tomlin, though he deserves a lot of blame.

Art II is NOT his father or grandfather.

This is going to become really evident once Ben retires. I can seriously see the Steelers becoming the Browns after that.

On one hand I find the story hard to believe, but on the other hand based on how they played it sure seems feasible. I would like to think that the players felt like the HAD to win this game due to the Pats coming up. 5-1 with the Pats coming up is sure better than 4-2. Maybe they just took Miami lightly. Whatever the cause they played with very little fire. If players missed curfew they should have been benched for that game. Its about time to send a message...

This team is just really hard to like. I've been a Steeler fan since the early 70s when I was a kid, and even in some tough years you could find something or some player to really like. This year is damn hard.

Tomlin continues to be out coached in games. How the hell can you like that?

The QB is a ****** idiot. In the week before the game he says they practice too hard. Then you have the team perform like that. Then Art Rooney comes out and says the QB will miss 2-3 weeks. But no, Ben just can't agree, he has to say 4-6 so when he comes back in 2-3, oh boy, he'll look tough. All that would be acceptable if he didn't play like 3rd string QB in about 4-5 games a year. I am flat out sick of this guy. I know, I know. We'd better appreciate him while we have him. OK. But they ain't winning anything anymore with Ben. It's over. It's gonna be like Favres later years.

The best WR in the game is becoming another pain in the *** prima donna.

The best RB and potentially one of the best WR in the game can't stay off the weed.

Mitchell is an idiot, too.

Everybody gets hurt. Some of these guys would get hurt at an Easter egg hunt.

I guess I really like only two players anymore, Heyward and DWill. You can get behind those guys. The rest is tough to be honest with you. I really think it is this bad, and anyone who has read my posts over the years knows I am a positive guy.

I pretty much feel the same way. I'd at least like to see Harrison get the sack record this season. Heyward&Williams I love their play. The game overall in the league sucks. It's like our government too many rules and regulations.

Go ahead and blame Tomlin, but injuries are like playing Jenga. Sure you can pull out 6 or 7 pieces and the structure is still sound, but you start pulling the bottom pieces and it makes for a quick game. Ben is a bottom piece, as is Heyward. The Tower was bound to topple, and it did in Miami...

Can't believe I forgot Harrison. That was stupid of me. He would be one other guy to really root for. As for the rest, eh.

Not surprised. I have to admit the thought crossed my mind by the way the team as a whole played but I wasn't about to come on here and make an accusation like that.

And I bet this isnt the first time it has happened either.

You do realize we dont win the playoff game if Ben doesn't come back in the Cincy game, yeah the two penalties helped a lot, but the 5 passes he completed moved us to midfield so those penalties could put us in FG range.
I believe he came in off the bench to win the game vs Cleveland because Landry wasn't going to get it done. Who gives a **** what he says, we've seen him play hurt and take hits most qb's get flags for. I don't care if he says I may be out 8 weeks or 10 weeks, or my leg us falling off.

As for the practices being to physical, he didn't complain or whine about it, he was specifically asked if the physical practices led to some guys being dinged up and he said its possible and the guys from Detroit were surprised at how physical their camp was.

Maybe the plan should be to smuggle "strippers" up into the cheatriot's motel rooms................. Clear whiskeys of course. !!!!

Bottom line is they lost and it was a "bad" loss. Nobody wants to admit they got their collective ***** kicked, well they did. The thing now is how do they respond?? I realize injuries have a part, but these guys know it's one play away from starting / playing time. Is there a drop off yes, in some cases. Can they rebound, H-E-L-L yes and we will see that come Sunday. Some here are saying bench so & so, well MAKE me play and play hard. Benching would just be a day off. PRACTICE will be a lot of running, **** the game plan, run em into the ground........ At least one day worth anyways.

Salute the nation

OMG, yes it is. Have you been single, in your 20's and in a rockin' town? I have. And all we had to do was get up and work a trade show, not play a football game, but I recall many of nights of just going all out crazy. Now, imagine you're and NFL player, and all that that position in life would bring to your feet? I don't know how bad I would have been in that situation, but I am pretty sure I would have been pretty bad, if I was able to be.

Kids need parents, and most pro athletes need coaches to keep them in line.

He's too tough on them if it is a negative and too soft if it is a negative.

It's hard to know what is true. If missing curfew means 30 minutes, then no bog deal, but if we're talking about rolling in at 1 AM drunk, then this is a coaching issue. Why? Because if players so brazenly blew off curfew then it means the players know there will be no repercussions. It means that sort of behavior is de facto allowed.

If this loss was just a fluke then i woudn't care. But losing to bad teams on the road is more than a trend at the point, it's a near certainty.

What are the stats on Tomlin outside the eastern time zone? I know it's terrible and maybe it's because the players don't treat it like a business trip.

I understand when you hear about NBA and MLB players going out when they are on the road. Their season is so long and they have so many road trips, you have to let guys have a bit of a life aside from netflix in a hotel room. Football is only 8 freaking games on the road. There is no reason they should be out late

Meh in 94 or 95 there were rumors ben was out super late and hung over for a near loss where he sucked... And that was under cowher...

Seems like they unleashed hell...on some partying

Wop dee do! They won a playoff game. Is that the standard now? They lost the next week though, one reason being that they were on the road. Why were they on the road? Well, certainly Ben's missed time last year had a lot to do with it, but also his **** lousy performance in Baltimore, for example, played a role.

He is a jackass. The practice comments are almost laughable now in light of the performance on Sunday. We have to hear about how he is a big part of the game plan all the time. Well, if that is the case, I saw a game plan on Sunday in which when stuff wasn't working, they had no ability to adjust. They seemed to just quit. As much as the coaches are responsible for that, if the QB is a big part of the game planning, why isn't he? And I will tell you, I am just sick and tired of his comments on his injuries. Real tough guys don't have to tell you all the time how tough they are. Knock it off.

And Ben would have been in the 7th - 8th grade at that time.

Quit making excuses for the inexcusable and what the **** does Cowher have to do with this?

And of course if Tomlin would off sat said culprits and we lost exactly how we did. There would of been no praise for taking a stand it would of been he's a idiot for costing us the game for sitting those players. And anyone who says other wise is a liar

Good question. Our record under Tomlin in the west coast isn't very good. I hold the head coach accountable if his players were smashed from partying. It shows a lack of respect from the players and quite possibly lack of player control for. The head coach. Chuck Noll used to fine players if they were late.
