Steelers met with WR Switzer at the senior bowl

White receiver?

Patriots. It's a league rule.

He does look a little shifty though. I think he could fit as another Hines type guy, if used properly of course. He's small, but shifty. That'd be a lot of playmaking ability for him and Ayers

I'm more on board for a bigger receiver than a small guy. We have the BEST small guy receiver in the league, we need a big WR or Big TE with both / either being a physical combat catching threat.

It all depends on Bryant and Green. If those two can play (staying healthy and out of trouble) I like our depth at receiver. Without them, its AB and and bunch of 3rd/4th stringers again.

No doubt this dude is the #1 WR on the Patriots draft board.

Yup, Pats don't need tall receivers. Run drags, crosses and slants all ******* day.

The Steelers need a physical receiver more than they need a tall receiver. There just aren't many guys who are willing to go over the middle to make the play in traffic. No chain movers who get right to the first down line and make the tough catch.

To be honest, I think Jesse James is gonna come into his own. I think his best football is yet ahead. I'm ok with vertically challenged WR, tall receivers are more helpful in red zone area's, but guys like Brown, Ayers and Rogers can be sneaky little critters. This Switzer kid has some very quick feet, as Ben gets older, the offense needs these quick release passes. The Killer B's can now be the Mighty Midgets lol

This guy reminds me a bit of Don Beebe. He seems to have speed to burn!

He reminds me a bit of Ayers to be honest. Again, I think he'd be a get AB off the punt return duty draft pick. He looks quicker than fast, low center of gravity which makes him tougher to get down than your average 180lb guy, not a lot of wasted movement when he cuts or or fakes a defender and seems to slide past would be tacklers with the slightest of shifts, adjusts to the ball in the air well, and seems to be a hands catcher not a body catcher.

I doubt he tests all that well at the combine and his stature will also hurt him. I would guess a 5th to priority undrafted free agent grade but haven't really looked much into him than that.
