The Pittsburgh Steelers had several different options they could have gone with at quarterback for the 2025 season. They had both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson on the roster in 2024, and each quarterback got opportunities to start throughout the season. While both showed promise at times, neither did enough to convince Pittsburgh to commit long-term. The team treated the situation as a one-year experiment, and once the season ended, both quarterbacks moved on.

ok I guess I missed the part where him playing well would be a nightmare for us. I'm not very knowledgeable on comp piks but isn't the pick higher based on snap count and how well they play? like I said I don't really know much about comp picks so if I am wrong..sorry..

Even if it has nothing to do with it who gives a **** how well he plays he aint here so I could give two *****.

From what I’ve read, A-Aron isn’t exactly lighting it up either at this point.

truth. The only game that it matters is the season opener

Camp stats mean less than nothing...

And looking at the Jets roster Fields is assured the starting spot. Their backup is 15 year vet Tyrod Taylor... Fields got 30 mil guaranteed... he will play unless he is beyond horrible and losing games right and left with his play...

The time he spent under Tomlin has messed him up, diminished his skills, and stymied his ability to process before and after the snap. He was a better player until he was tomlinized.

Yup camp stats even more irrelevant than meaningless preseason stats.

It’s all fun and games until the “struggling” Fields carves up the greatest defense the NFL has ever seen in week 1.

you sir, are Captain Negative.

I’m an officer!!!
Woot woot

I’m just bustin balls on accounts of the unnecessary chest puffers on our D

If they were dominant when it mattered I probably would cut them some slack, but a bunch of clowns talking mad smack about their greatness before they have done a thing will get some ball busting for at least a week on account of the gross stupidity they are displaying.

Now they’ve set my expectations to the point where if they don’t lead the league in total yards, least points scored and #1 passing defense they are abject failures or just extremely stupid…likely the latter.

They should be able to summarily dismiss Fields with extreme prejudice.

For a defense that was totally outplayed and embarrassed in their last outing they need to keep their mouths shut.
King Henry and the Ravens OL completely dominated this elite defense,
With all the bravado talk, who might they be trying to convince?
