Steelers looking at James Campen for O_line position

I hear yaz SteelBuckeye. Sometimes I think some here are thinking "can we FIRE him before we hire him"

I've always held to time will tell so to at least give the guy a chance.

Thank you. Well, the two year show cause order explains his absence from the college coaching ranks for those two years. I believe the show cause order travels with the man.
Impressive that UCLA only gave up 14 sacks in the second to last year that he was there. Seems injuries did in his line the next year.
In any event, I'm just saying. Give the guy a chance. If he sucks, hopefully they won't wait two years to fire him.

He has some evidence of developing linemen at UCLA and the run games slowly dropped off over his last two years, particularly his last year with the team, though the pass protection vastly improved. There's also the stories of his mishandling of injuries. Granted you really can't get away with that at the NFL level. I do hope he's the next big thing when it comes to OL coaches. It's just irritating that this team needed a shakeup with its offensive staff and they went with the safe options by promoting from within.
